Mortiis was formerly the bass player and lyrics writer for Emperor (circa the self-titled EP). He left them before "In the Nightside Eclipse" because he wasn't into black metal anymore. He got his musical career start there. Mortiis plays synthesizer on a track of the album "Necrose Evangelicum" (1995) of the Swedish industrial band Brighter Death Now. Crypt of The Wizard and The Stargate have been re-re-released with a black slipcase. Birth dates: Mortiis (Håvard Ellefsen) (25th July 1975, Notodden, Norway)
