"MY DARLING DISMAY was born through the collaboration between myself and singer Anna Mariann, a fine singer that impressed me greatly when I first saw her sing at the Boulevard Thatre in Stockholm, as we were both striving to recreate the glam/sleave/hard rock that we grew up with during the 80's fused with a genuine metal sound, as we felt that there is both a passion and need for this music, as well as there is a strange lack of it. Eminent guitarist Johan Ericsson was soon added to this small, yet fast growing constellation, and just as this new born is starting to take off, we'd like to share the first resulsts of our efforts; The song My Darling Dismay is a cohesive characeterisation of our ambition, and you can expect quite a bit more in this direction in the near future! MY DARLING DISMAY have already started to generate a lot of buzz in the gothenburg hard rock/metal scene, and we're now bringing our focus elsewhere as well, and will start to look for a label soon. About their general concept they reply: “We want to work with people that have something to say, that have the technical skills to say it - when it comes to both labels and musicians as well as graphic designers. We wrote each of these songs for a reason. We want the album to tell you why.”
