Pooch Carver started in 1996 with an original line-up as Doug Smith, Bjorn Andersen, and Adam Tumminaro on drums. Adam was short lived in the band and was quickly replaced by Steve Bitte. The trio worked out well, as the band quickly wrote songs that were a blend of brutal metal, catchy grooves, and psychedelic madness! They put out their first album PSYCHEDELIC DEATH GROOVE in 1998, followed by the ground-breaking Pooch For President in 1999. They began playing with touring bands such as Deicide, Cradle of Filth, Brutal Truth, Macabre, Anal Cunt, GG Allin's Murder Junkies, Destruction, Cephalic Carnage, Jucifer, and Kreator. The band has finally re-emerged after a 5 year hiatus, with machine gun speed Joel Avey on drums. New songs are in the works and a new upcoming album will hopefully soon be available.
