THE RESURRECTION SORROW Announce Lineup Change, Release Comic Book

New York rockers THE RESURRECTION SORROW have announced an upcoming lineup change to the unit. Drummer Louie Gasparro will be leaving the band this May to pursue personal interests. A statement from TRS this week states: "Louie gave his all on stage and on the road and has been crucial in lifting TRS off the ground and setting this behemoth in motion. Louie's personal commitments has led to his decision to bow out."

Mr. Gasparro's replacement will be named at a later date. His last show with the band will be this May 15th in Brooklyn, when THE RESURRECTION SORROW unveil their recently completed comic book at a live show and all-out party, dubbed "Vrykolkas: The Unholy Release Party". The comic -- featuring art by Isaac Carey Nejako and cover art by Seldon Hunt -- was written by TRS vocalist Alex Dementia. The comic will be available at this show, which will also feature live appearances by NYC rock legends Satancide, Panzie, and of course, THE RESURRECTION SORROW, as well as an aftershow party with burlesque rockers Bambi Killers, DJ's all night and and more, all hosted by Royal Flush Magazine and Midnight Dreams Productions.

"The Resurrection Sorrow draws heavy on that dark swagger while maintaining an edge and an earthy grit and also bring a level of heaviness that easily exceeds that of it influences and makes this a band well worth checking out..."

"Trimming away the excesses that can pad out these types of albums, The Resurrection Sorrow have delivered an exciting and, quite simply, brilliant debut that shows great promise for the future."
- Album of the Year Rock Midgets: Chris Ward
Favorite Album: The Resurrection Sorrow - Hour of the Wolf

"The band is out not to re-invent the wheel, but ‘Hour Of The Wolf’ is a strong reinforcement. A more than good business card with song busters like the title song, the instrumental ‘Shadow Of A Vampire’ and opener ‘Resurrect The Sorrow’."
- Lords Of Metal (Read More)

"...if you are a fan of Heave/Stoner Metal, you will surely not be disappointed with this album. 8/10"
- Infernal Masquerade (Read More)

"In a word: Ballsy... This is testosterone driven doom rock that stands out like a high five across the table at a fancy restaurant. Think COC, BLS, Crowbar, some Borgo Pass-style sludge..."

"Hour of the Wolf bolsters the future of Metal."
- Steven Blush (author/filmmaker, American Hardcore)

"Raw, heavy, anthemic and played with obvious passion, this is a great album from a bunch of musicians with enough of a playing history to know how to craft each song so it never outstays its welcome." 5/5

"Going into the history of heavy metal, many forget about the rock roots, but these guys are trying their best to add power, heft and heaviness to their rock sound." 4/5

"It takes about four seconds of opening track ‘Resurrect the Sorrow’ to showcase what the band are all about, and from then on in it’s a masterclass in heaviosity as the band’s inspirations all come together to make a solid ball of metal that will take your head clean off with one punch." 10/10
