Formed in 2004 as “session musicians” at the expense of a solo Portuguese “artist”, FramePictures came to the idea of using the opportunity to start up a new band, in the likes of “Planet X vs. Tool”.

The band took off following diverse directions musically, with various moods and style choices from song to song, which obviously pointed to having fewer songs but longer and meshed up pieces instead. With the main structural backbone or “frame” figured out, then the band tried out with old progressive-rock references from the late '70's and '80's to add tiny bits of flavoring musical expertise, hence the “pictures”.

FramePictures entered the studio in 2009 with sound engineer and co-producer Ivo Magalhães and made the “Remember It” album.

FramePictures' "Remember It" is a seven song album that expresses musically the plunge into the deepness of the subconscious human mind. The conceptual 78 minutes long album is FramePictures' display of this point of view through a series of complex arrangements and long "virtuoso" guitar and keyboard solos, mixed with the simplicity and a-kind-of straight forward approach to songwriting, adding to it the odd time signatures and tempo changes that are trademarks of progressive-rock. "Remember It" is a re-interpretation of the progressive-rock genre, more than a re-invention, bringing to the 21st century the same non-conformism and artistic breakthrough expression that was so fresh with visionaire musicians like Robert Fripp, Brian Eno, Thom Yorke and Steven Wilson.

Varying from the most aggressive post-metal guitar riffs to the intimate warmth of the grand piano, "Remember It" is stretching from left to right of the rock repertoire, including the 25 minutes conceptual seven-part epic song "My Will to Live".

"Remember It" was recorded at IM Studios, Matosinhos, Portugal and was produced by Artur Jorge, co-produced, engineered and mixed by Ivo Magalhães and mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Paradise Lost, Symphony X) at Fascination Street Studios, Orebro, Sweden.
FramePictures' "Remember It" album will be released worldwide through Galileo Records GmbH.
