According to This Is Staffordshire, a petition was launched to recognize the merits of guitarist Slash (Velvet Revolver / ex-Guns N Roses) but also of Lemmy (Motorhead) by raising the two statues in Stoke-On-Trent, a town in Staffordshire , England.

A petition signed by 318 citizens was presented to City Council. It was not yet made a decision but the petition is considered and the Committee for Economic Development.
Supporters of campaign believe that the two statues will increase profit from tourism.

Apparently the only problem now is lack of funds for the two monuments.
