W:O:A METAL BATTLE PORTUGAL 2011 | QUALIFYING HEATS

Regional qualifying heats regarding W:O:A Metal Battle Portugal 2011, a competition that provides for the presence of a national band at Wacken Open Air, are set to take place in several cities during the month of January.

W:O:A Metal Battle Portugal 2011 series of regional qualifying heats bring about five bands to play at SWR barroselas metalfest XIV, wherein the national final is scheduled to take place from 29 April to 01 May 2011.

The national winner is then in charge of representing Portugal at the W.E.T. stage of Wacken Open Air 2011, battling with bands from all over the world in order to reap a record label contract with Wacken Records and a variety of top-level endorsement deals with the main sponsors of the competition.
