The Rodeo Idiot Engine comes from the Basque Country (Euskal Herria in Basque, which literally means "land of euskara") it is a historical and cultural region located in the extreme northern Spain and southwestern France, cuted by the Pyrenees mountain chain and bathed by the Bay of Biscay.
It is assumed that the Basque people have occupied the Iberian Peninsula around 2000 BC and has withstood the constant invasions suffered by the region over the centuries. Despite the Roman domination, the Basques have maintained their language, customs and traditions in a process of constant resistance. The Basque language has no relationship to any other in the world and although it is the oldest language spoken in Europe today, vasconço established itself as an written language in the sixteenth century and reinforced the sense of unity of the people.
