Eternal Samhain - The search for a place in the sun!

"Samhain", pronounced “sàuin” /’s?:w?n / , is the Gaelic word for "winter" (used also by the Celts) and for the festival marking the end of the summer season, which was celebrated on Samhain Eve (Oidhche Shamhna, probably on the 31st October). This tradition is still alive today for many Neopagans, that celebrate Samhain as one of the eight sabbaths.

Morwen and Dark Dahlia formed Etenal Samhain in 2006, creating a metal band oriented to gothic sounds. After some changes in the line-up, Nemesis' arrival in Eternal Samhain lead the band's sound towards the darker influences of gothic/symphonic black metal. Meanwhile a few members came and went, and in January 2008 the band finally found a stable line-up: Morwen (vocals), Nemesis (growls), Dark Dahlia (bass), Arawn (lead guitar), Davide (rhythm guitar), Damiano (keyboards) and Nicola (drums). Eternal Samhain have been playing various cover songs (especially Nightwish’s and Cradle Of Filth’s) and are now working on writing their own music. Due to personal reasons, in october 2008 all the member, exept for Nemesis and Damiano, left the band. Eternal Samhain has now found found a new line up: Nemesis(growls vocal), Spaz(lead and rhythm guitar), Edo(bass), Dem(keyboard and sampling) and Joey from Narnia (drums). Eternal Samhain are now covering some songs picked up from international Symphonic Black metal's scene as Dimmu Borgir and Cradle Of Filth and working at their own music.
