Take a knee. Take a bow. Take a moment to pay respects to rock n roll’s regal and rebellious Queen V.
In her iron fist, Queen V clutches a mic, claiming sovereignty over your senses with that hard-edged, bombastic rock sound you’ve been missing. Her latest "Death or Glory" album, featuring contributions from the likes of Lemmy Kilmister (Motorhead), Vernon Reid (Living Colour) and Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine), prepares to turn the rock world on its ass with bold lyrics, palpable passion, and a generous dose of caustic wit.
Born and raised in New York City, Queen V earned her stripes the hard way: on the streets and in the clubs of the Big Apple. Since starting her first band at 16, V has been honing her chops, spending years pounding the pavement, garnering her strong, loyal following, and staying committed to keeping the soul of the real New York underground alive with her “Take Back New York” events.
V’s efforts have certainly not gone unnoticed. On numerous occasions, she has been invited and shared the stage with Tom Morello, Slash, Cypress Hill, Dave Navarro and Corey Taylor to name a few. Having toured with Billy Idol, Bon Jovi and Twisted Sister, V has been featured on MTV, Fuse, and scores of local and national rock radio stations as an artist and guest DJ.
Queen V’s classic yet fresh sound is crafted with the help of legendary producer/mixer Ron Saint Germain (Tool, Soundgarden, Creed, 311) who has masterfully put his stamp on the current project. Straddling the line between hard rock and singer/songwriter, Queen V seamlessly shifts from screeching rock to soulful balladry. The name itself sets the stage for V’s ambition to express her emotions, no matter how raw or revealing.
Coming Fall 2011: New Queen V songs will be released in October, and fans will get to watch her utterly intense live performances coast to coast and join in the rock n’ roll revelry.
