FlenserRecords just uploaded two new tracks Panopticon "Social disservices" preview and Wreck and Reference "A Lament" (remaster) and can be heard below!
Wreck and Reference “Black Cassette” LP PRE-SALE
Wreck and Reference is electronic doom.
Hailing from Davis, the experimental duo play a unique mode of electronic doom tinged with no wave. Formed by Drummer (Ignat Frege) and multi-instrumentalist "Felix K. Skinner", the band’s live performances are a mixture of live drums and samples triggered by an MPC style controller, creating a sound that is as unique as it is rooted in the traditional heavy of guitar-driven doom.

The band drew the attention of many blogs with the self-released cassette Black Cassette. Later issued on CD by Music Ruins Lives, Black Cassette is as refreshing as it is confusing—a post post post trip laced with Cormac McCarthy, experimental noise and an angry bizarre influence we just can’t put our finger on. We The Flenser feel Black Cassette MUST see release on vinyl!
The Flenser edition of Black Cassette was remastered for vinyl by Justin Weiss (Ludicra, Hammers of Misfortune, Agalloch, Bosse-de-Nage) and is limited to 300 units with 100 copies available on white wax.

Panopticon “Social Disservices” DLP/CD-PRE-ORDER NOW
Whereas Panopticon’s earlier effort On the Subject of Mortality was an internal mediation on death, and Panopticon’s 2nd album Collapse anticipated the decline of government infrastructure, Social Disservices lashes out against a broken social services infrastructure that imprisons a silent minority.
This is is Panopticon’s darkest record. Social Disservices continues the blackened crust of Panopticon’s previous effort but with a bit more darkness this time. Think black noise with a dose of forlorn gaze.
Mastered by Colin Marston of Krallice, with CD and vinyl formats each derived from unique masters, and the CD and LP each format has its own respective feel. Artwork painted by the band! And it is rad!
