SEX PISTOLS Graffiti candidate for the British heritage!

A wall with a graffiti done by the Sex Pistols is the target of an academic campaign  to be considered a national monument. The campaign is being carried out by the Department of Archaeology at the University of York by the voice of Dr. John Schofield. The academic argues that the graffiti must be preserved as heritage, just as the prehistoric paintings .

The graffiti decorates the walls of an apartment in London's nr 6 Denmark Street (closely linked to the history of jazz, R & B and British punk) and was mainly painted by John Lydon. In graffiti, can be seen the members of the group and the manager Malcolm McLaren in cartoon version.

If the campaign is successful, the nr 6 of the London street will have a blue plaque on the door.
