DRAKUM is a young spanish band whose sound navigates between Heavy Metal, melodic Death Metal and european Folk music. Coming from Barcelona, these 7 people aged between 16 and 28 years have combined their many musical influences to shape a powerful, funny and honest music that it's sure to please fans of Viking/ Folk Metal and fight to break into the difficult world of metal music.
The band began their ways in December 2009 after a year looking for the right members by its founder Marc MartÃnez (guitar). In 2010 began the composition and after some changes of members, in February 2011 DRAKUM released their first 3-song demo titled "Around the Oak" at studies F2F Productions of Marc Figueras in Barcelona (www.myspace.com/produccionsf2f), with Javi Crosas (ex-Hellsign/Morbid Flesh) growling, Caleb Rubio on violin, second guitar by Feni Villanueva, Alicia EscartÃn on bass, Paula Mykhaylychenko on keyboards and backing vocals, and Conrad Soler on drums and backing vocals, completing the lineup with Marc.
The artwork was designed by romanian Kogaion Art (www.kogaion-art.com), specialized in pagan, black and viking metal bands. If you're looking for the perfect music to accompany your parties with a beer in hand and horns up, don't forget to listen to DRAKUM and, if you can, attend to their amazing gigs!
