SHINING (NOR) NOMINATED FOR GOLDEN GODS 2012

“We are more than willing to become gods, even if it’s only for one night. It’s not every day you’re offered a shot at such a lofty title! In fact, our keyboard player is regularly addressed as a god by the rest of the band, so this award could help us make it all official.”

This was SHINING’S frontman, JØRGEN MUNKEBY’S tongue-in-cheek response to the breaking news that his band has just been nominated for BEST UNDERGROUND BAND at METAL HAMMER’S GOLDEN GODS AWARDS 2012.

On their Golden Gods website, Metal Hammer says this about the eager contestant from way up North:

“Fusing an incredible mixture of black metal, jazz, prog and anything else they feel like throwing in, Norway’s Shining leave as many jaws dropping as they do heads banging.”

VOTE FOR SHINING (NOR) AS BEST UNDERGROUND BAND AT GOLDEN GODS AWARDS HERE.

By voting, you can also win several prizes from the magazine.

The celestial ceremony will be held at LONDON’S INDIGO2 on MONDAY JUNE 11.
