FESTERING started out in mid '92 in Santo António dos Cavaleiros, Portugal. It was put together by members of EXTREME UNCTION as a side project and released a split tape containing the song "Proliferation of Infected Leucocytes". The musical style was Gore/Grind, heavily influenced by CARCASS.
The project had put on hold, but has since been brought back to life in 2011, curiously also by former members of EXTREME UNCTION: Pedro Gonçalves (vocals); Koja Mutilator (Bass, backing vocals); João Dinis (Guitars). Together they recorded a demo in a musical style closer to Death Metal bands like ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, DEATH, BOLT THROWER, etc. but keeping the old influences as well. They have been recoding and preparing a Demo/EP "Exhumed From The Grave" released in 2012, April with Beto Arrais (from FILII NIGRANTIUM INFERNALIUM) on drums.
