Underdust was an idea/project that came out from heritage of most famous Croatian technical avantgard death/thrash metal band Forlorn Legacy. Forlorn Legacy has published 4 demos, one EP and one full-lenght album ("Paths of Insanity", 2004 Metalsound Records).
After european tour with Vital Remains and Ressurecturis ( "Vital Brutality Tour 2005" ) band decided to take a long break.In this period of stagnation, Mario focused on Underdust. It did not take long for Viktor to join the project; now both original members of Forlorn Legacy were involved working on something new. A style shift; less aggression, fresh members and female vocalist, but with the same amount of virtuosity, followed by melodic and arrangement complexity in the vein of Forlorn Legacy.
Says the band:
"We feel like we finally finished one chapter. Our journey from initial demos to polished material was a long one. When we finally found the best singer, all vocals had to be re-recorded. All the mixing and mastering was done in less than a month, five songs were finished, three of them are published on Promo 2012 CD. Also, you can listen and download them at web-locations below .
The Initial hype and buzz that came from Promo 2012 CD and "Dust" video clip were a nice surprise. It's good to see such a great feedback and positive response to our music. This motivates us to be even more creative and concentrated to our work. Our goal is to reach as much as possible potential fans, promotors, labels and publishers. And a nice record deal. By the end of this year we plan to record all material including this before mentioned 5 songs and make a full lenght album. We shall see; in any case, the future is bright."

After Forlorn Legacy decided to call it quits, at the peak of their careers (published album, excellent foreign reviews followed by a European tour), these top-notch musicians simply decided to pursue their own projects. However, it was no fluke that their paths soon crossed once again. Mario wanted to start a new band and invited Viktor to join him.
After struggling for some time with the band’s line-up, everything finally came into place in 2009, and the band, named Underdust, started on its new music course. This music adventure, which received its final touch-up with the promotion of promo material, was thoughtfully recorded and finalized during an almost 8-month work in the Soundcage studio.
The music created by Underdust could be best described as modern, melodic metal, marked with amazing melodies, distinct vocals and melancholic, highly personal lyrics. It is therefore reasonable to expect that this band will soon leave its mark on the worldwide metal scene to which they, by quality, surely belong.
