Emerging from the desert megalopolis of Dubai, progressive metallers ANURYZM originally self released their breathtaking debut, ‘Worm’s Eye View’, throughout the Middle East in October of 2011 to an eagerly receptive audience. After joining forces with Melodic Revolution Records to distribute the album further afield, the band have re-‐released the album in July 2012 and are ready to bring their own brand of progressive metal to audiences worldwide.

Over the course of 8 tracks, Worm’s Eye View is a heart-stirring album that seamlessly blends metal, progressive, and jazz leanings into an ever-‐changing musical illustration, allowing Anuryzm to demonstrate their mature, dynamic soundscapes, which intertwine playfully alongside intricate sections and tight arrangements. Featuring guest appearances from Martin Lopez (Soen, Opeth, Amon Amarth), jazz bassist Rami Lakkis and synth player Uri Dijk (Textures, Ethereal), the album was produced by John Bakhos & Miltiadis Kyvernitis at MNK studios and mixed, mastered by Miltiadis Kyvernitis. Drums were recorded by Martin Lopez in Sweden.

Amidst illness, overseas globetrotting and dealing with tragic death of a bandmate, Anuryzm have continued since their inception in 2003 against all odds, and with an unrelenting desire for their music to be heard. The result of their journey is a debut album packed with glorious emotional splendor; incredible vocal delivery from Nadeem Bibby, who provides numerous standout moments on the album, and most importantly it’s one of those rare albums’ that walks the fine line of achieving a brutal yet soulful and atmospheric delivery.

Lyrically, Anuryzm have chosen to address overcoming impossible obstacles through encouraging self-‐awareness and self-‐ awakening. Possibly the most explosive and emotional song on the album, Breaking The Ballot, explores the psychological impact of desire for change and working hard for change, only to haveit constantly denied because of afailed system and opens to the chilling soundsof sirens, screams, a world gone mad, whilst the contrast of Killing Time’s, catchy, commercially radio friendly blues rock with a progressive metal interpretation is a song about under achievement and the negativity associated with self loathing and being one’s own worst enemy.

With more shows ined up for the remainder of 2012, a video on the way and a second album already in the works for release in early 2013, ANURYZM promise to continue to deliver a dose of high quality, seasoned progressive metal music and exhilarating live appearances.
