Backing only 7 years ago we were living enormous modifications (sadly in some ways), the pop movement was growing, music was getting more and more commercial, industrialization was increasing and one of the biggest occurrences was about to take place… the launch of YouTube February 15th in the United States, one of the most popular internet sites that changed forever people’s life.
While the world was changing as fast as a Formula 1, five rockers were willing to maintain the spirit of rock n` Roll alive the Chicago based, The Last Vegas. With influences like AC/DC, Guns N´ Roses, Cheap Trick, Kiss, Motley Crue, and much more they were unleashing loud rock chaos through house parties to wake up the neighbors and underground punk rock clubs.
Their first album “Lick `Em & Leave `Em” was recorded in 2005 cause they won 3 hours of free studio time. They went 6 hours then gave the demo to Gregg from The Cynics/Get Hip Records. He offered to put it out as a full-length and offered TLV their first record deal with Get Hip Records.
After the release of their first work TLV now counting with Chad Cherry on vocals released their second and one of my favorites rock albums ever “Seal the Deal” in 2006. “Seal the Deal” was recorded with Chicago doommaster, Sanford Parker at Volume Studios and took them to Europe for a 2-month headlining gig through 14 countries.
“Seal the Deal” in my opinion is a much underrated album, there are few bands nowadays capable of creating a work of this caliber, I count by fingers actual rock bands that pull a raw sound like this with heavy and catchy riffs so simple but so strong that remain immortal and do justice to rock n` Roll. Rock n` Roll is all about kicking system´s ass, breaking everything up, headbanging to loud music, chicks and TLV is this and much more.
With Adam Arling (guitar), Nathan Arling (drums), Johnny Wator (guitar), Danny Smash (bass), Chad Cherry (lead vocals), (and actual formation of TLV) they sold 10,000 records and toured in 17 countries. They have been featured in the game GH2 (guitar hero) with the brutal song “Raw Dog” from the album “Seal the Deal”, Nascar.com, NBC Sports, MTV, Fuel TV, Fox and many more. The rest is History!
