SAMOTHRACE: Multi-Continental Tour Plans Begin To Unfold

Seattle riff-dredgers SAMOTHRACE are devising new tour plans for the first half of 2013, with live actions being devised to take place on both North American and European soil.

SAMOTHRACE has confirmed that the band will be performing at Heavy Days in Doomtown, an international DIY doom/stoner/sludge festival in Ungdomshuset, Copenhagen, Denmark running from May 2nd through 5th. At this year’s festivities they will share the stage with Graves At Sea, Pagan Altar, Cough, Procession, Dark Buddah Rising, Conan and many more still to be announced, then traverse the European continent on an additional two-week tour. Preceding the European trek SAMOTHRACE will embark on new Midwest and East Coast US tours, with more details to be announced in the coming days.

Following a literal flood of media attention on their sophomore LP Reverence To Stone, released at the end of July via 20 Buck Spin, the album is now spreading into year-end/best of 2012 lists and coverage abroad. SAMOTHRACEtook the #35 spot in Decibel Magazine’s current Top 40 Albums of 2012 issue with Reverence To Stone, in addition to praise from Stereogum, Metalsucks and others as lists begin to emanate forth internationally.

Reverence To Stone is available on CD and LP, alongside their debut album Life’s Trade as well as band gear and more at the new SAMOTHRACE merch store or direct from 20 Buck Spin.

Reverence To Stone is streaming in its entirety VIA PITCHFORK.
