ALMAh: New Video Released

São Paulo, Brazil, Melodic Power Metal band ALMAh has posted a new video for the song "Living And Drifting" taken off of the latest studio album entitled MOTION released in 2011.

The idea of the clip is a story of some fan who discovers the new clip and starts spreading it as the “Almah virus” around the globe. The band has dedicated the video to all Almah fans over the world: in Europe, Asia and North and Latin America, from Brazil to Japan.

The video was filmed in Sao Paulo and directed by producer, musician and composer Diogo Araújo from Under Control Filmes who has an established name in Brazil thanks to his work with mainstream artists of the national scene.

ALMAh led by ex-Angra’s singer Edu Falaschi was established in 2006 and since then released three albums. The latest studio effort “Motion” saw the light of day in October 2011 via AFM Records (Europe, North America) and Victor JVC (Japan). In May 2012 Falaschi announced his departure from Angra and totally concentrated on ALMAh as his principal band. At the moment, the band is composing new songs for the next studio album.


ALMAh has confirmed that 28 year old musician from São Paulo state Raphael Dafras is a part of their team and new bass player of ALMAh.

The musician already played several shows with ALMAh in the second half of 2012 in Brazil and took part in the shooting of video clip “Living And Drifting” presented via the band`s official Youtube channel this week. At the moment, Raphael is working with his band mates at the material for the next album.

Bass player, producer and teacher Raphael Dafras started his musical career at the end of 1997 playing in local bands at his native town in Paraná state. His most significant activity in the musical field until now is a work together with German Pascual (Narnia) at the upcoming debut album of the singer “A New Beginning” (2012): Raphael recorded the bass parts and produced the CD. Dafras plays various styles of music such as metal, jazz, funk, new age, fusion and has various influences such as Dream Theater, Angra, Stratovarius, Symphony X, Victor Wooten, Jaco Pastorius and others.
