Dead Earth Politics Announce Late Fall EP Release; Launch IndieGoGo Campaign

Austin, TX's DEAD EARTH POLITICS will be heading into the studio on September 21st to record the follow-up EP to 2010's acclaimed The Weight of Poseidon full-length album. The band is currently in pre-production mode. Josh Woodhouse of Droplink Productions (engineer on The Weight of Poseidon) has been enlisted as producer for the EP.

In anticipation of the release DEAD EARTH POLITICS has launched an IndieGoGo campaign to assist in financing marketing and adverting of the album, new merchandise, and related activities with the intent of bringing their monstrous American metal style to all corners of the globe. Last, but certainly not least, DEAD EARTH POLITICS was handpicked to perform at the first annual Housecore Horror Film Festival (October 25-27) in Austin with Down, Gwar, Hate Eternal, Crowbar, Goblin, Pig Destroyer, Warbeast and several others. The year began with a bang when DEAD EARTH POLITICS accepted the award for the Austin Chronicle's Best Metal Band of 2012 at last weekend's SXSW Festival. With the recording of the as yet untitled EP, there is no doubt that 2013 will end up a banner year for the Austin soul crushers.
