The first Death Metal beer in the world?? Most probably… but for sure the most putrid one!!
"This didn’t come from one day to another, it was a process of some months, but now we finally got it!!"
It was during the summer when the band casually got in touch with artisan beer makers ESPINA DE FERRO located in Igualada (Barcelona) to see the possibility of making their own beer for AVULSED and they immediately got into the idea.
The chosen beer is a Double Abbey styled beer with 6.5 degrees and 23 Ibus (bitterness) made with Pilsner style malt and six other different kinds of malts that gives the beer a maltish flavor, a slight caramelized touch, strong body and dark toasted color. Made after high fermentation made with water, malt and hop, yeast without any kind of chemical additives and 100% traditionally brewed. In short, for those who aren’t beer experts but who like as basically every Metalhead does, let’s say it’s somewhat comparable to the famous Leffe (brown) beer.
ZOMBEER is a very limited beer, basically a collector’s item that for sure will last no time because there’s only 300 bottles made!! This beer will be officially presented this Saturday 12th of October during the RITUAL ZOMBI FEST in Madrid where AVULSED will be presenting their brand new album “Ritual Zombi” together with their label mates PURTENANCE (fin), DISSECT (hol), CHRIST DENIED & ONIROPHAGUS. However, it’ll also be available on the pre-festival party on friday night at the Nightfall Metal Club, so those who want to taste the real flavor of putridness in form of a solid and true beer, don’t hesitate it!! If any bottles are left after the festival, the band will see about the chance of making it available for sale by mail, but honestly, 300 beers are nothing…
