Vile Regression Release New Song 'Tides' From Forthcoming Record 'Empires'

Having recently announced details and artwork for their forthcoming new record ‘Empires’, Irish extreme metallers Vile Regression have today unleashed the opening track ‘Tides’ for all to hear. Stream 'Tides' below.

The band comments: "Some of the central themes of 'Empires' deal with different aspects of human emotions such as reaching your potential in life and being the master of your own empire, as well as the observation of crumbling empires around us. Musically the record marks a shift towards a somewhat more technical execution, fluid solos while maintaining groove and hooks. We feel 'Tides' embodies the overall feel of the record perfectly."

Formed from the ashes of Irish extreme metal outfit Vistor Q; Vile Regression hit the scene in 2010 and released debut record ‘The Pattern Evolves’ in 2011 via Casket Music.

Much to critics praise Vile Regression went on from the release to share stages with prolific heavyweights such as Dyscarnate, Fleshgod Apocalypse and Unearth.

After building a reputation as a tight and energetic new addition to the extreme metal underground 2013 saw the band head back to the studio to record a new installment… ‘Empires’.

Comments the band: “We feel, ‘Empires’ is a very powerful word, invoking strength and confidence. The title came from the overarching theme within the lyrics, that being positivity and empowerment in ones life.”
