ATLANTEAN KODEX: Expansive Video Trailer Posted Anticipated Second LP By German Heavy Metal Heroes Out Next Week

As the anticipated second album from German epic metal heroes, ATLANTEAN KODEX, is now just one week away, today the band have unveiled a video trailer for The White Goddess (A Grammar Of Poetic Myth). The extensive video merges an incredible amount of random footage and clips from a wide array of religious and occult themed movies and artwork combined with lyrics and artwork from the brilliant new album, band photos and more. The multi-faceted visual depiction is of course backed by the soaring and empowering music culled from each song on the massive studio opus.

The White Goddess (A Grammar Of Poetic Myth) is officially on the streets of North America next Tuesday, October 1st via 20 Buck Spin; the label has the CD available for purchase now HERE, with the mammoth 2xLP version to follow shortly after. Outside of North America, Germany's Ván Records is handling the vinyl edition while Italy's Cruz Del Sur has the CD release.

“I wish to speak to you today about the tragedy of Europe.” So begins the speech sample from English PM Sir Winston Churchill that begins “Twelve Stars And An Azure Gown (An Anthem For Europa),” the fifth track on the newATLANTEAN KODEX LP, The White Goddess (A Grammar Of Poetic Myth). ATLANTEAN KODEX: New Album From Epic German Metal Outfit Underway

Germany's ATLANTEAN KODEX have been hard at work over recent months, writing their sophomore full-length album, which at press time remains untitled. The follow-up to their heralded debut album, The Golden Bough is surely one of the most anticipated albums for fans of grand, epic and pure heavy metal.

Stated guitarist Manuel Trummer this week on the progress of the writing process: "The new album is slowly starting to take shape. So far we have around 30 minutes of all new, unreleased material. There won't be any demo songs or older songs from previous releases on the album. Regarding the general direction, you can expect the same sound and atmosphere as on The Golden Bough. There won't be any change in style whatsoever. The stuff we have written so far ranges from nice headbanging up-tempo anthems to some of the slowest and most epic stuff we have done... it's safe to say that our key coordinates still are Into Glory Ride - era Manowar,Viking-era Bathory, arcane 80's U.S. Metal served with a healthy dose of NWOBHM, folk and 70's vibes. All regressive, all ATLANTEAN KODEX."

ATLANTEAN KODEX will be focusing on the writing of this opus year until they are 100% sure the album is a worthy successor to The Golden Bough, being planned for release sometime in late 2012 or early 2013.

The Golden Bough, released by Italy's Cruz Del Sur Music in 2010, took fans of the most epic classic, power and doom metal by surprise, reaping incredible acclaim from critics and publications of all caliber and from diehard fans of pure heavy metal worldwide, and closing out the year on countless year-end lists

ATLANTEAN KODEX Signs With Cruz del Sur

German Epic Metal band ATLANTEAN KODEX and Italian label Cruz Del Sur Music announce to have signed a deal for the worldwide release of the upcoming debut ATLANTEAN KODEX album The Golden Bough.

ATLANTEAN KODEX are one of the most acclaimed newer bands in the European underground metal scene. Rooted deeply in the sound of old Manowar, Viking-era Bathory and classic 1980s-metal, their Pnakotic Demos EP has sold close to 2000 copies and has been praised by critics as one of the best epic metal releases ever. With festival appearances at renowned events like Keep it True XII, Up the Hammers and Hammer of Doom, ATLANTEAN KODEX have also earned a reputation as an intense live band who never fail to deliver the steel.

Says guitar-player Manuel Trummer about the deal: "I couldn't have imagined anyone else than Cruz del Sur to release The Golden Bough. We‘re highly impressed by the work label-owner Enrico did in the past and we‘re honored to be on the same label like some of our favorite bands such as While Heaven Wept, Slough Feg, Twisted Tower Dire or Battleroar."
