ENDEZZMA: "Erotik Nekrosis" a majestic and "earotic" seven track album!

Regina Kozlik
Born from the depths of the darkest realm, inundated by the cruel wintry atmosphere ENDEZZMA rises from the core of black metal propitious to the spillage of bloody musical notes in an erotic seduction of tenebrous melodies and screaming instruments. Founded in the bosom of Norwegian somber environment in which they inspired it´s dark energy that reflects an overwhelming morbid force, immersed in a spiritual experience that binds them with the lost but not forgotten Trondr Nefas and with the presence of Morten Shax´s band Dim Nagel also lost in the middle of a relentless industry and band´s usual vicissitudes.

It was only after some time, after Dim Nagel long sleep period in 2006 that Morten Shax decided that the rest was over and the time to play again had come. Shax recruited Trondr Nefas to unleash the riffing monster and in 2007, on the way to their first festival gig, he changed the name of the band to the current ENDEZZMA.

Now and after the long waiting due to many factors and due to the unfortunate decease of Trondr Nefas, they bring us a delightfully disturbing experience, they bring us the beauty of frightening melodies and creepy complex compositions of black metal in a mix of atmosphere and old school roaring guitars, in a journey through the unknown, through death; they bring us “Erotik Nekrosis” the majestic and "earotic" seven track album. The album starts with the strongest and heaviest song “Junkyard Oblivion”, this song brings the best of the band it has a cold ambience of raging thunders and dark atmosphere and after the short intro a powerful and fast rhythm hits you like a punch in the face with a sick drumming and strong riffing that later mutates to a slower rhythm with a catchy guitar line with a nice solo. “Enigma of the Sullen” is another ravishing song with a crazy bass phrase, Shax uses screaming vocals altering with a more clean voice, it is very melodic with a background organ sound that pulls out your attention and this song is in my opinion the most beautiful of the album. I’m not going to talk about every song of the album and I’m going to let you enjoy this full-length by yourself but in general all songs are great and all have a special characteristic, I prefer to analyze this work as a whole and this is a unique black metal album with many variations and styles this is Norwegian black metal with a special blend. “Erotik Nekrosis” transpires in perfection the exit of this world in a beautiful constellation of perish songs and the entrance of ENDEZZMA in a new time, in a new journey… this turned out to be one of my favorite’s releases of the year, it was worth the waiting.

I leave you with Morten Shax´s words:
It’s been 5 years since we released Alone so it’s definitely time for ENDEZZMA to turn the page on what went before and move forward.  I know many people have been waiting and waiting for this album, and some probably gave up along the way, but I hope we will not let down all of the patient morbid souls. This album is for all of the individuals that stayed true to the band, all of you who never stopped waiting. Erotik Nekrosis is dedicated to Death and to you Trondr!”

One melee with the words, ideas and its paradoxes... albuns that are news, the reviews at "HeavyHardMetalmania.net", always with its watermark,  Pedro Ribeiro, with love for beer... sorry, music from an early age, he studied piano and singing from 7 to 14 years,  then, devoted himself to the study of the guitar for 5 years. "The wisdom is found in the extremes, all extreme Metal here!"

1) Junkyard Oblivion
2) Enigma of the Sullen
3) Against Them All
4) Swansong of a Giant
5) Hollow
6) Krossing Rubikon
7) Soulcleansing

NORWEGIAN BLACK METALLERS ENDEZZMA TALK ABOUT NEW VIDEO

Norwegian Black Metallers ENDEZZMA, whose debut full-length album “Erotik Nekrosis” will be released on Agonia Records on the 28th of November in Europe and on the 5th of February in the USA, have been in the studio filming a video for “Junkyard Oblivion”, the opening track from the album.  Morten Shax, the band’s frontman had this to say about the video: “We chose this particular track because of all the tracks on the album it feels like a link between the music of ENDEZZMA a few years ago, and the ENDEZZMA of today.  The whole idea of a video was something new for us, it’s not a medium we had worked with before, and it proved to be a very interesting process.  We are satisfied with the shoot, and the eventual outcome looks promising.  After a weekend of determined effort and some very hard work I hope we managed to create something that was as morbid and memorable as we had originally envisaged”.   It is anticipated that the video will be ready to release on the 1st of December.
“Erotik Nekrosis” is the follow up to the “Alone” EP which was released five years ago.  The seven-track album, with artwork by the Kazakhstani artist Alexandr Balinets, has a line up that speaks of years of experience in the realms of Black Metal with Morten Shax on vocals, the late Trondr Nefas (URGEHAL, BEASTCRAFT, VULTURE LORD) and Mattis Malphas (BEASTCRAFT) on guitars, Sregroth (URGEHAL, ÅSMEGIN) on bass and Carl Balam (NATTEFROST, ASTAROTH, ex INFERNAL) on drums.  According to Shax, “Erotik Nekrosis” will serve as a tribute to Nefas, whose contribution to the album was considerable and whose loss has been keenly felt by the Norwegian Black Metal community.
“Erotik Nekrosis” can be pre-ordered from Agonia Records. More information about ENDEZZMA can be found on the band’s Facebook page.
Three tracks from ENDEZZMA’s “Alone” MCD can be heard below.

Zarathustra was a Persian prophet, one of the great teachers of the East and the founder of Zoroastrianism, which was the national religion of Persia from the time of the Achaemenidae to the close of the Sassanid period.

The German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche used the name of Zarathustra in Also sprach Zarathustra. Nietzsche fictionalizes and dramatizes Zarathustra toward his own literary and philosophical aims, presenting him as as a returning visionary who repudiates the separation of good and evil and thus declares the death of God.

Hurricane is also the owner of "Kneel Before the Master''s Throne Records".

Nefarium Horde

Nefarium was formed in the second half of the 90's and since the beginning the band had as purpose playing fast, violent and satanic Black Metal. Hailing from the extreme North of Italy, its members Carnifex, Adventor and Ghoul gave birth to the very first release in 1999.

The demo "999", which was characterized by cutting riffs, icy electronic drums and strong echo effected vocals, was well received from both the press and the audience.
Later on, in 2001, Avernus is released by Maggot Records. Thanks also to the collaboration with Summum Algor, the Nefarium drummer, "Avernus" represents a further evolution of the band.

Due to the particularly fast drumming, the musical style tends towards bands such as Marduk, Dark funeral and Setherial. After the release of Avernus, Ghoul leaves the band, Carnifex takes care of vocals while Adventor begins the composition of the songs for the new album called "Praesidium".

In 2004, a deal for the album was signed between Nefarium and Downfall Records. The Swedish label publishes "Praesidium" which holds the same raw mood of the previous work but with a more powerful and cold sound. The press reactions for Praesidium are good and the album gains more and more positive reviews appearing on several specialized magazines. This tolls the moment in which the band emerges from the shadows and becomes a recognized force.

The Swedish-oriented style moves "Praesidium" up towards Northern Europe and the band earns the esteem by great musicians such as Chaq Mol (Dark Funeral) and Infaustus (Setherial). In September 2007 Nefarium signed to Agonia Records for future releases and It is with the swedish musicians and with Negatium Corporis, who now is the band's bass guitarist, that Nefarium finds the perfect frame to conceive their next assault.

Nefarium moved to Sweden and entered Hitfire Studio in summer 2007 to produce with Erik Lidbom their second full-length "Haeretichristus" . The album came out in january 2008 in USA and Europe, and has received great reviews, "Haeretichristus" is an overwhelming work that blends a strong black metal attitude with deeply developed technical and stylistic inserts.

Shortly after recording the album the drummer "Summum Algor" decided to quit the band because it proved impossible to combine full dedication to the band with his other daily life activities and some time later he was replaced by the french drummer "Infamis". Also a new bass player "Vexator" was found shortly after recording Haeretichristus album.

Since the beginning of 2008 Nefarium concentrated on playing live with more intensity and spent the rest of year playing gigs in Europe while working on new material, but it was decided that Infamis would no longer be a part of the band because he simply did not put as much time in the band as is required. and the band was solidified by Garghuf on drums in june 2008.

Garghuf is the official drummer of Nefarium, his murderous blast bits work is known from his session performances with Gorgoroth(Nor). With the last mentioned band he has played and will play live shows.

At the end of the year Nefarium play as support band on European Impiety and Glorior Belli tour. The band will be again on studio to record next album in january 2009.

NEFARIUM - Tongue Of The First Pope (Simon Peter)

Tongue Of The First Pope (Simon Peter)

As I am
You will obey

But be aware and deprive the soul from
Hesitations and fear
Immersed in the blood of Christ
Feast on his flesh
Uplifted by spirit and faith
Blindfold the rebels and erect gallows
Because the time will come
And you will be what I am
From death comes life
And like white maggots with swollen guts
Carnivorous creatures
Prophecies obedience.

Kephas listen: the light seeps from the walls of pride
Like the dark in the throat of Galilean seers
Pray disciple. On christian knees
You that listened, that believed, preach your word
Where the swine amuses itself.

We will be your apostles
But remember we can never hear your voice
Because you served the most vicious dog
And the slipperiest serpent
Who sits at the right hand of the father

Vade poste me christe
Vade poste me christe

Through the keys of a kingdom with no king
Into hell's fire, in the jaws of the beast.
