EVOCATION streams "Illusions Of Grandeur"

Sweden's Death Metal overlords EVOCATION have posted online the official title track which will appears at next release their fourth studio album "Illusions Of Grandeur" through Century Media Records on September 24th in Europe. The new album is the band's first studio album for their new label and another proof why the five-piece band from Borås has become a leading force in the death metal scene.

Cover artist Xaay, who has already worked with EVOCATION on the "Apocalyptic" album, was the best choice for the job.

"llusiIons Of Grandeur" was recorded at IF Studios (In Flames, The Haunted etc.) & Evocation Studios together with producer Roberto Laghi (In Flames etc.) and mixed at IF Studios by Roberto Laghi. It was mastered at Bohus Sound Studios by Dragan Tanaskovic.

As a very special guest Johan Hegg of Amon Amarth laid down guest vocals on the song "Into Submission".

ITM CONFIRMED FOR ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK UPROAR FESTIVAL; MORE TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED

The countdown is on...less than two months to go for the North American release of In This Moment's forthcoming album, BLOOD. BLOOD is due out in North America on August 14th and is produced by Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch); the album is the band's fourth for longtime label Century Media Records.

In other In This Moment news, the band has been confirmed for this year's Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival kicking off in August. Prior to that, they will head out on an extensive trek of North America later this month. This run will include headlining dates, as well as support slots with Papa Roach and later with Shinedown and Adelita's Way. You can see below for the itinerary.

In This Moment was formed in 2005 and have released three full length albums to date, selling over a quarter of a million records in the US alone. They've cracked the Top 40 Active Rock charts and have appeared on the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival, as well as Warped and Ozzfest tours. Frontwoman Maria Brink was recently named Revolver's Hottest Chick in Metal. IGNITE: New Video Released from 'Our Darkest Days Live' and DVD Preorders are Now Available

Californians Hardcore Punk IGNITE have released the first full live video off the upcoming IGNITE DVD, Our Darkest Days Live. The video for "Bleeding" can be seen below.

Yesterday, June 19th, marked the U.S. street date for the first DVD in the history of IGNITE. If you haven't seen it yet, The Trailer for the DVD  can be seen below.

IGNITE will promote the DVD release with some festival and club shows this summer. Vocalist Zoli Teglas spoke about the release and their upcoming European dates: "We are very happy to release this live DVD that we put a lot of work into and then follow it up with a great Summer festival tour, it's nice to be back again!" Keep an eye on the tour dates, more will be added soon!

Every IGNITE fan should be excited by the news that a new IGNITE studio album is coming up soon! The band is in full songwriting mode and has already finished a bunch of new tracks. Bass player and founding member Brett Rasmussen lends an insight to the band's near future, "First step is getting this DVD out, then finish writing the new songsand then get in the recording studio to get our fans a new album to listen too!"

BORKNAGAR RE-SIGN TO CENTURY MEDIA!

The 28th of March BORKNAGAR signed a 3 album deal with Century Media Records.

BORKNAGAR is currently working on material for a new album, at this point roughly scheduled to be released in early 2012.

Øystein G. Brun comments:

ICED EARTH: LEADER CHOOSES NEW VOCALIST, ANNOUNCES EUROPEAN LEG OF MASSIVE WORLD TOUR

GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN (USA) - In the wake of vocalist Matt Barlow's retirement, dozens of demos and resumes flooded Iced Earth's management team. But one name kept popping up - Into Eternity vocalist Stu Block, who has been named the new lead singer for Iced Earth. 

According to Schaffer, Robert Kampf, founder of Century Media, early on suggested Block, whose band Into Eternity was previously on the CM label. That reminded Schaffer of one night in September, 2008, when Into Eternity opened for Iced Earth.

"Iced Earth was backstage waiting to go on," said Schaffer. "We heard one of Stu's incredible wails. I remember turning to Matt and saying, 'Damn, that dude has serious range."

IN FLAMES was founded 1990 in Gothenburg and soon became one of the most successful Swedish Metal bands since the release of their break-through album "The Jester Race" in 1996. Like many of the predecessors, their last album "A Sense Of Purpose" (2008) charted all over the world including the band¹s highest ever entry on the American Billboard top 200 with an amazing #28.
