"BIBLE OF THE DEVIL" Release "For The Love Of Thugs And Fools" on May 8 via Cruz Del Sur Music
Veteran Chicago rock n' roll band BIBLE OF THE DEVIL will release its sixth full-length album, "For The Love Of Thugs And Fools", on May 8 via Cruz Del Sur Music. The CD is an assembly of raging rock 'n' roll songs that encapsulate the band's saga musically and personally"over the years since the last CD. Returning to Phantom Manor studios in Chicago to work with Mike Lust, who has engineered numerous BIBLE OF THE DEVIL recordings in the past, the band sought to emphasize their trademark bludgeoning two-guitar attack and mammoth hooks with an increased attention to soaring, anthemic vocals.
"For The Love Of Thugs And Fools" is viewed by the band as a document of the many characters they have encountered through the life of the band, whether it be in love, loss, friendship, or hatred.
Having toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe since the band's inception in late 1999 and living in the volatile urban environment Chicago, where encounters with crime, violence, and "street justice" are unavoidable, there has been much subject matter for the band to draw from. Embracing the philosophy that a bottle of whiskey and some loud guitar is often the best cure available for these challenges and ordeals, BIBLE OF THE DEVIL has chosen to document its grievances in the form of one devastating rock n' roll platter. Said singer/guitarist Mark Hoffmann states, "The few years since the last full-length have been like a dare. A dare to create a soaring, punishing rock 'n' roll record of this magnitude. It is a dare that we have been forced to answer ourselves."
With numerous albums and seven-inch singles to their credit, the members of BIBLE OF THE DEVIL have carved themselves quite a niche in the heavy rock underground over the past 13 years as carriers of the flame of classic, loud, hook-filled guitar rock, yet with their own modern interpretation. The band has toured the United States and mainland Europe extensively during this period, and continue to do so in 2012, whether or not Mayan predictions of an apocalypse prove to be true.

ARGUS Signs To Cruz Del Sur Music

CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC have reached an agreement with Pennsylvania's ARGUS for the release of their new album entitled Boldly Strides The Doomed.
ARGUS was formed in 2007 and features Bruce Balich of Penance fame on vocals. They released their self-titled debut album on Shadow Kingdom records in 2009, which was greeted warmly by the metal press immediately, Decibel Magazine describing them as "...a chest-thumping display of epic heavy metal as performed by a bunch of staunch doom metal fans. Indeed, ARGUS are all about big riffs, galloping anthems, dark melodies and tube amps."
The recordings of Boldly Stride The Doomed will take place at Soundscape Studios in Pittsburgh. The initial tracking sessions are set to begin this week and will continue throughout December and January. The master of heavy metal wizardry Dave Watson (Icarus Witch, Mantic Ritual, Crown The Lost) will be at the engineering and production helm once again. The album is set to contain approximately eight or nine songs, including track titles such as "A Curse On The World," "The Ladder," "42-7-29" and "Durendal." As Metalreview.com said, "...strangers to the band who prefer their metal melodic, galloping and built on a classic doom foundation, consider ARGUS your call to arms..."
ARGUS will perform on the 16th of April 2011 at the Hammer Of Doom V Festival, the annual doom and epic metal appointment in Würzburg, Germany, where they'll have the chance to perform with a cast of incredible bands such as Pentagram, While Heaven Wept, Atlantean Kodex, Solstice and many more.
Boldly Strides The Doomed will be released by CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC simultaneously on CD, vinyl and digital form on the 3rd of May 2011.

WHILE HEAVEN WEPT Says Goodbye to Cruz Del Sur Music
WHILE HEAVEN WEPT Says Goodbye to Cruz Del Sur Music

We have been holding this statement for a few months now, and it is finally time to announce: Cruz del Sur Music recording artists WHILE HEAVEN WEPT will no longer be part of the label's roster. The label are thrilled, but also sad, to state that WHILE HEAVEN WEPT have signed a new record deal with Nuclear Blast Records.
The following are the press releases from the three parties involved. It is an important moment for Cruz Del Sur, passing the torch on to Nuclear Blast Records... may it keep on burning high!
"I started working with Tom Phillips on the release of what was going to be Vast Oceans Lachrymose in June 2006. Almost three and a half years later, the release of VOL hit the market provoking an amazing reaction from the people who already loved WHW, but also conquering thousands of new fans. From then on, it was an exciting ride which has seen the CD re-release of their long out-of-print previous albums, a series of glorious live shows and the peak represented by the forthcoming release of their first live album Triumph: Tragedy: Transcendence available in a CD/DVD limited edition and on vinyl on Cruz del Sur Music. It was inevitable that WHW would catch the interest of bigger labels and I am not angry or disillusioned at all. I mainly see their going to a respectable and leading label as Nuclear Blast as a honor and a recognition of our work." --Enrico Leccese/Cruz Del Sur Music
"Nuclear Blast is extremely elated to announce the signing of While Heaven Wept! Last year we were totally blown away by the release of the album Vast Oceans Lachrymose (out on Cruz del Sur Music) from the US genre-defining and genre-defying metal band While Heaven Wept! After months of talking with mastermind Tom Philips we are very happy to announce that WHW has joined the Nuclear Family!! While Heaven Wept are already in the studio recording their follow up album Fear of Infinity which will be out April 2011." -- Jaap Wagemaker/Nuclear Blast A&R
"It made perfect sense for us to align with Nuclear Blast, who also have been committed to offering only the very best in the world of Heavy Metal. Through this partnership, we will surely be able to continue delivering the best productions possible while presenting our musical vision in a different arena, betraying neither our past nor our ideals. Nuclear Blast's support of our musical identity is truly an honor, and everyone who has stood by us all along these years need not worry; While Heaven Wept is what it is, and cannot be anything else. Expect the unexpected. We look forward to revealing our new album Fear Of Infinity together with Nuclear Blast very soon!" --Tom Phillips/While Heaven Wept
