Released last month via Relapse Records, and crowned, "one of the year's best death/goregrind releases," by About.com, the record serves as the band's most musically adept, sonically punishing and conceptually provocative recording of their gore-strewn catalog.
Scroll over to Guitarworld.com, where EXHUMED's Matt Harvey delivers a comprehensive track-by-track dissection of Necrocracy's compelling themes and compositions at THIS LOCATION.

EXHUMED: Necrocracy Drops In North America TODAY; Band To Play Special Show With Carcass Next Month

Necrocracy, the long-awaited new studio offering from West Coast ministers of blood, gore and audio disease, EXHUMED, officially drops TODAY in North America. Recorded at Arcane Digital Recording in Chandler, Arizona with Ryan Butler (Misery Index, Landmine Marathon, Phobia), with drums tracked at Trench Studios in Corona, California with John Haddad (Hirax, Abysmal Dawn, Intronaut), Necrocracy is inarguably EXHUMED’s most musically adroit, sonically punishing and lyrically thought-provoking recording of their winding, blood-soaked career.
Comments guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey of their latest batch of repugnant requiems: “Seeing as how we recorded Necrocracy back in September and October of last year, a profound sense of relief is our initial reaction to the release of our fifth album, which, when pronounced correctly, will make the speaker feel like the roof of their mouth is covered in delicious peanut butter. We're super psyched on the heavy vibes and unhealthy aromas this record exudes and we hope all you filthy animals out there will feel the same. It's the hookiest, meatiest EXHUMED record yet, as far as we can tell.”
To order Necrocracy, point your browser to THIS LOCATION. The record is also available via iTunes HERE. And if you missed it, peep the monolithic and horrifying visual for “Coins Upon The Eyes”.

In related news, the band will be celebrating Necrocracy at their official release party August 8th in Los Angeles. The debaucherous evening will include a taste of the record in its entirety as well as Harvey at the DJ booth flaunting his exquisite taste in NWOBHM, thrash and grindcore. L.A. friends, don’t miss this!
Then, prior to their month-long North American takeover this Fall with labelmates Dying Fetus, EXHUMED will share the stage with extreme metal legends Carcass at The Troubadour in Los Angeles!
Elaborates Harvey, “We're stoked to be playing an exclusive West Coast show with some British band that people have been telling me about called Carcass. I heard their new song ‘Captive Bolt Pistol’ awhile ago and I think they're really onto something. I think they could really go somewhere given the right promotion and label push. Should be a pretty excellent gig. I think it was preordained a long time ago, so it's nice to see it finally come to fruition. The only thing I look forward to more than the show itself will be bugging Bill Steer about how he got the Symphonies of Sickness guitar tone in a drunken stupor at the inevitably humiliating after-party.”

FESTERING`s Exhumed EP Reviewed and Free Download!

Festering from Portugal is one of those bands that were active in the mid nineties and that now has been resurrected to once again spread their brand of death doom and destruction. Cause that is what we are treated to, death metal of the old school vein. The music is varied and the tempos goes up and down, from doomy to blown away with the blast beat. One can tell that these guys have been at it (yes I know that there is only one original member left) for a long time, of course maybe not in this band but doing their craft in other bands. Everyone plays competently and we are given a dish that is more or less what you can expect from an old school death metal band. The song writing is solid and the two tracks are great (there is an intro as well).

The tracks are:

1. Festering, a little spooky intro that sets a nice mood.

2. Exhumed, a classic cut of death metal beef. It starts with a punk beat and a tremolo picked riff. After almost a minute the song changes up to a more groovy chorus, nice stuff indeed. On this track we are treated to a killer solo.

3. Submerged In Emptiness is to my ears a kind of Dismember sounding song. The intro has a real flesh from bone tearing sound, really epic. Almost midway through the song everything slows down and doom descends, then a little bass break and then back to the bone crushing heaviness!

What obviously gives it away that this is a modern release is the production,  and the production is great. This Ep sounds exactly the way an old school band should sound anno 2013. The guitars have the chainsaw sound of old but they are more in your face so to say. The bass is loud and heavy, what sounds the most modern is the drums, cause they have a nice slick sound. If I could make on little complaint it would be the kick drum sound, it sounds to triggered for my taste, I wish they would have gone for a more natural sound. But everything works together well, Festering's EP Exhumed is for sure a keeper and I hope to hear a full length album from these fine fellows soon.

Sweden`s Wilhelm Lindh*, "Portuguese by adoption," guitar player,  composer and owner of the Doom / Death Metal band The Gardnerz, reviews here in HeavyHardMetalmania.net. Careful and professional analysis to the music and albums with suggestions of what there is to see and hear ... not to be missed. "The wisdom is found in the extremes, all extreme Metal here!".

Festering decided to make available here the links to download (Wave & MP3) of the last 7" EP - "Exhumed", enjoy!!

EXHUMED: North American Tour With Suffocation To Commence Next Week New Flexi Available In The May Issue Of Decibel

West Coast gore deviants EXHUMED will take to the streets again this April on a near month long North American rampage alongside headliners, death metal icons Suffocation. The live assaults commence April 4th on Long Island, New York and will level nearly two dozen cities before coming to a close in April 28th in Hartford, Connecticut. Additional support will be provided by Jungle Rot, Rings of Saturn, Adimiron and Lord of War (on select dates).

Says EXHUMED’s Matt Harvey, he of the decrepit death rattle and repugnant requiems: “We're beyond psyched to hit the road with long-time faves of ours, Suffocation. This tour will bring all you maniacs one of the heaviest nights of your lives! We couldn't think of a better way to start our tour cycle for 2013 and get people stoked for our upcoming record. We will be debuting some new tracks and have a new show and set ready to melt your face and make you reevaluate your life decisions. We’ll see all your ugly faces in April for a celebration of guts, grog and grotesqueries! Excelsior!”

Coinciding with the tour kick off, the May 2013 issue of Decibel offers up a brand new EXHUMED flexi featuring  the track "The Beginning After the End," taken from the band’s recently completed recording sessions.

Elaborates Harvey: “We're totally psyched about the Decibel flexi! I remember getting the D.R.I. Manifest Destiny flexi in RIP Magazine and the Sabbat Blood For The Blood God flexi in White Dwarf back in the day, so it's killer to carry on in that tradition. We've talked about doing it ever since we got back together, so I'm more surprised that [editor Albert] Mudrian actually let me write about the SF Giants [included in the baseball preview of the same issue], to be honest. But anyway, the track ‘The Beginning After The End’ is something we did during the latest recording sessions, so it will give folks some idea of the sound and vibe of the new record. Hopefully this track will inspire some curiosity and headbanging, as well as increase the sales of Natural Ice beer and home pregnancy tests. It's also part of our incredibly savvy and calculated promotional campaign designed to get as many of you filthy maniacs out in force for our tour with Suffocation this month, so come on down and let's get weird!”

To nab your flexi, order the issue HERE.

The track also appears on the Patlapse Tribute Compilation, an audio collection honoring the late Pat Egan, Relapse’s director of sales for the past ten years. Stream the track at THIS LOCATION.

EXHUMED: California Gore Lords Announce February Invasion With Phobia

California gore lords EXHUMED will return to the road this February alongside grind behemoths Phobia! The short West Coast beat down will commence February 15 in Lancaster, California and conclude February 23 in San Francisco. Souls will be severed; dreams will die.

The latest stretch of dates follows EXHUMED’s maniacal run with Napalm Death and Municipal Waste at the end of the year which was met with a host of hurdles including being denied entry into Canada and vehicular failure that left them temporarily stranded in Alabama. Comments vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey: “As happy as we were to get home for the holidays, we thought we should make time to hang out with our old friends in Phobia and grind through our home state of California. We had so much fun playing out-of-the-way places during the impromptu one-off dates we did during the Napalm Death/Municipal Waste tour, we thought we would hit some nooks and crannies back home that we haven't played in years. Plus, we'll get a chance to get a bunch of our buddies' bands on the bill like POOR, Gravehill, DIS and Mortuous. We've been itching to play some stuff from the new album live and we're working out a seriously revamped setlist for this one, so come on out California! Let's have a few beers, let it loose, and get weird!

Additionally, you can catch up on the band’s last round of roadside debauchery in their latest diary entry — Winter 2012 Tour Diarrhea Part IV: The Long And Grinding Road —at THIS LOCATION.
