SISTER, who hails from Stockholm/Jönkoping Sweden, formed in early 2006 working hard to build up a name as a strong act both live and in the studio. SISTER consists of 4 members- Jamie on vocals, Lestat on guitars and backing vocals, Rikki on bass and backing vocals, and Cari on drums and backing vocals- who combine the sounds of Punk, Glam, Rock, and Metal with an end result sounding something like the bastard child of GG Allin and Guns N' Roses.
SISTER's Metal Blade debut HATED was released June 7th, 2011!

GWAR-B-Q VENUE CHANGED TO NATIONAL THEATRE

In a stunning display of cat-like agility, Slave Pit today announced a last -second venue change to their highly anticipated "GWAR-B-Q", switching the venue from Hadad's Water Park to Richmond's beautiful National Theater.

Henrico County would not issue the proper licenses for the event to run legally despite Slave Pit's intense efforts to placate the authorities.

Slave Pit's Dave Brockie had this to say about the debacle-
"We feel we have been treated in an unjust manner. There have been music festivals for years in Henrico County with no problem OR licenses. We jumped through hoops, hired cops, made safety plans...and at the last second they chose not to give us the permits."

"I woke up today and heard this. I was just about to put a bullet through my head when we got a call from the National Theater. They had originally booked some loser from "America's Got Talent", but he cancelled...so the National saved the day for us and agreed to open their doors to the event. As you read this we are scrambling madly to accommodate all of the acts and events we had planned, and present the full spectacle of the GWAR-B-Q."

Slave Pit and GWAR have been busy as evil beavers, breaking in a new bass player and gearing up for the last great bash of summer 2011, the GWAR-B-Q. What started years ago as party for GWAR members and friends has mutated into a colossal event featuring tons of bands, food, and fun. Headliners GWAR will be supported by Darkest Hour, a special re-union of the band Kepone, and the debut of The Argonauts, featuring Dave Witte of Municipal Waste. The amazing line-up has attracted the attention of nationwide media, and reporters and photographers from Decibel and SPIN magazine will be on hand. Celebrity judges and entertainers like Rabb Himself and Don Jamieson will be on hand, and best yet, G4's Attack of the Show co-host Candace Bailey will be eaten by GWAR's pet worm, the World Maggot!

Candace Bailey, co-host of G4's Attack of the Show, is going to die...

GWAR FRONT MAN ODERUS URUNGUS FEATURED IN NEW ORIGINAL SERIES ON FEARnet

GWAR front man and lead throat thing Oderus Urungus has just been confirmed to be a featured cast member on FEARnet's first original series “Holliston”. Oderus Urungus joins Twisted Sister's Dee Snider as well as stars Adam Green and Joe Lynch on the offbeat multi-camera buddy comedy series created by Green. Described as The Big Bang Theory meets Evil Dead II, the show is set in the town of Holliston, Mass., and follows the lives of Adam (Green) and Joe (Lynch), two friends chasing the dream of becoming successful horror movie filmmakers while struggling to make ends meet in their post-college jobs at a Boston cable access station where they also host a late-night movie program called The Movie Crypt. Urungus will play himself and is Adam's “imaginary” friend who happens to live in a closet and gives him advice that is extremely misguided and offensive. The six-episode series is slated to begin production in September.

Quoth your lord and master:

"I am pleased beyond belief that the human race, and FEARnet, has finally recognized my acting ability and hired me as the star of Holliston," said Oderus, apparently unaware that he is playing a supporting role. GWAR-B-Q ANNOUNCES MORE CELEBRITY GUESTS, EVENTS, AND AFTER-PARTY DETAILS

The sickest party ever just got even sicker as Slave Pit Inc. and Metal Blade Records announced new details of the upcoming GWAR-B-Q. Joining the festivities will be none other than Metal Blade recording artist and VH1 "That Metal Show" co-host, comedian Don Jamieson, who will be performing a stand-up set on the main stage of the event. Jamieson will also be joining the star-speckled judges of this year's "American A-Hole" competition, which will also include Oderus Urungus' alter ego Dave Brockie and will be hosted by none other than GWAR's manager, underworld mogul Sleazy P. Martini.

Said Jamieson, "As a fan of GWAR since "Scumdogs of the Universe", I am honored to perform on the same stage they will undoubtedly ejaculate on." Don Jamieson's new album, Live and Hilarious is out on Metal Blade Records.

GWAR is also happier than "an Orc in an orphanage" to welcome notorious malcontent and "Jackass/Viva La Bam" star Chris Rabb, a.k.a. "Rabb Himself" to the festivities. Rabb, who has recently been showcasing his talents behind the camera with his new project "Hot Dog Casserole", will be calling the action at the GWAR-B-Q's version of extreme sports, "the Spew-Olympics".

Not to be outdone, homeboy and Lamb of God lead singer Randy Blythe will be judging the GWAR-B-Q Cook-off, and local bike gang The Cutthroats will be presenting a special bike-jousting event. Add sun, fun, and a TON of awesome bands (including of course the mighty GWAR!), and you have what might be the coolest thing to happen to Richmond since the Civil War!

But just because the GWAR-B-Q is over doesn't mean the fun has to end. After the GWAR set, head over to McCormacks Irish Pub for the official GWAR-B-Q AFTER PARTY, featuring Hex Machine, The Landmines, U.S. Brass, and more!

Get your TICKETS NOW! at www.gwar.net and make sure you check out the different purchase levels of entry.Get your Tickets in advance for ONLY $20 or $25 at the door on the day of the event.
