Then just a week later -- Friday, June 21st and Saturday, June 22nd -- INTER ARMA will slay Raleigh, North Carolina and their hometown of Richmond, Virginia with labelmates Windhand.

This September, the party continues as INTER ARMA will make their crushing presence known at two of the country’s most diverse music events, with confirmed performances at both the massive three-day Hopscotch Music Festival in back down in Raleigh as well as the Boomslang Festival in Lexington, Kentucky. INTER ARMA Streams Exclusive Track - Band Confirms New SXSW-Based Tour Dates

Richmond-based doom purveyors INTER ARMA are preparing for their most dynamic material yet to hit the public, in the form of their Relapse debut, the crushing Sky Burial LP, now just two weeks from worldwide release.

Amidst praise from media outlets internationally over recent weeks -- even dating into 2012 with Decibel Magazine, BrooklynVegan and others placing them in the “most anticipated bands of 2013” circuit -- INTER ARMA backs up these anticipated hopes and claims on Sky Burial. Already known for coalescing elements of doom, psychedelic sludge, grind, black metal and more through massive riffs and nontraditional “metal” elements into a sound of their own, on the new effort the band incorporates further experimentation with noise and programming, along with elements of classic Southern Americana.

Today, the taskmaster over at The Obelisk has hosted an exclusive stream of “Westward” from Sky Burial, joined by in-depth musical and lyrical commentary on the creation of the track... RIGHT HERE.

New shows preceding already announced dates have been confirmed -- including a hometown record release show in Richmond on March, 7th -- as well as new shows throughout the original tour and new blast of Northeastern US shows with the likes of Men’s Room, Earthling and more in mid-late April.

A highly anticipated release for fans of all extreme genres, Virginia’s crushing quintet INTER ARMA merges elements of doom, psychedelic sludge, grind, black metal and more through massive, mighty riffs to create a sound wholly their own.
