ION VEIN: New Album Release Date Revealed

Chicago based metallers, ION VEIN, will release their self-titled third album on July 4 in Europe and July 8 in North America, via Mortal Music/MVD Audio in both CD and digital formats.

The long awaited follow up to 2003’s “Reigning Memories” was once again produced, recorded, and mixed by Neil Kernon (Judas Priest, Nevermore, Redemption) and is the first full length album with vocalist, Scott Featherstone, whom the band first debuted on the IV v1.0 and IV v2.0 three song digital EPs released in September 2011 and December 2012 respectively.  Additionally, the six songs from those EPs have been re-mixed/re-mastered for inclusion on the full album.

ION VEIN's self-titled new album, which will feature 12 songs varying in dynamic intensity, shows the band re-tooled, re-focused and re-energized – in a way that it captures the essence of their song-oriented and technically-skilled metal very well. Also, the top notch production drives these pounding, meaty canvases – from the opening track “Fools Parade” to the closer “Twist of Fate” – that cut into the very core of your soul, while breathing new life into today's world of music. ION VEIN: IV v2.0 Digital Release (DR) Now Available

Mortal Music is pleased to announce that Chicago-based metallers ION VEIN's IV v2.0 is the next release in its DR (digital release) series and is available now via iTunes, Amazon, and all other major digital media outlets everywhere.

ION VEIN to open for Symphony X Sep 13TH

ION VEIN will be hitting the stage in whats shaping up to be their final Chicagoland appearance of 2012, as direct support for prog/power metallers, SYMPHONY X, at Mojoe's in Joliet, IL, on Thursday, September 13th. Also appearing are Dissona and Moments of Sanity.

ION VEIN Partners With MORTAL MUSIC To Release New Music

Chicago based metallers ION VEIN announced that they have partnered with Mortal Music to release the band's new music worldwide.

Commented ION VEIN guitarist/founder Chris Lotesto in a statement, "We are very happy to announce that we've partnered up with Mortal Music to get the new IV music out to the masses the way we've always envisioned it could be done.  We've been friends for a long time and these guys just get it, they're always trying to push the envelope on how things are done, and it's quite refreshing actually!  We're really looking forward to doing some great and innovative things together; it's going to be a really exciting time for all of us!"
