KEMILON At The Gates Of Heavy Metal With TWISTED STORM

Kemilon the power metal band from Quebec, Canada were originaly formed in Sherbrooke by guitarist Chris Geoffroy and his brother Carl in late 2007, Louis Jacques and drummer Charles Brodeur were next to join in. In 2008, Carl was replaced by keyboardist Arnaud Spick. After several line up changes the band stuck with a very experienced bassplayer named Simon Roy-Boucher and a highly skilled rock singer, Yan Gagné.

Putting aside the fact that Kemilon are almost new in the business these guys really know what they are doing, all of them are brilliant musicians with a lot of technique and knowledge and perform flawlessly a great show of really outstanding power metal. “Twisted Storm” is the name of the first album  released "AprilI 10, 2012" and I got to say that for a first album they broke the barrier of a natural growth and evolved at a breakneck pace in the creation of their own style and music. This is not the power metal you are used to, Kemilon are a progressive power metal band and all the instruments are combined perfectly and are very clean even the distortion, with frenetic solos, catchy riffs and fast tempos with a very heavy and melodic sound. All the songs of the album are incredibly well worked very powerful and really “crazy” when I listen to “Twisted Storms” it´s like being in a video game of fantasy and adventure, a dimension between the reality and the fiction where the music is the fuel and the imagination meets no boundaries, in fact one of the references of the band is the excellent taste for good music and games, they are influenced by Nobuo Uematsu the composer of final fantasy soundtracks and one of the best composers nowadays  and by bands such as Edguy, Dream Theater and Gamma Ray.

I recommend Kemilon´s “Twisted Storm” to everyone, not only in the power metal scene, but in general for all in the metal community, a most listen embracing album full of vitality and force.

KEMILON Introduce Revolutionary NU Motion mobile Keyboard

Canadian power-prog metallers KEMILON have introduced a new revolutionary mobile wireless keyboard to the metal universe.

Arnaud Spick, KEMILON’s keyboardist can be seen performing with the NU Motion keyboard at Hellfest Lanaudiere, a metalfest north of Montreal, QC, Canada in July. Hellfest Lanaudire was a 3 day Metalfest that featured over 50 bands from the province of Quebec, including Blackguard, Necronomicon, Valfreya, Nordheim, Korpius, Valknacht, Hollow, and many more.

Arnaud Spick is the first rock musician to have an endorsement deal with NU Motion and all the details are on the keyboard manufacturers website at this location.

KEMILON are a sextet based in Montreal, QC, and were founded in 2008 by guitar players Chris Geoffroy and Louis Jacques.

Kemilon have shared the stage with Rhapsody of Fire, Firewind, Powerglove, Nightwish and Kamelot in their short career.
