MACABRE: Mini-Tour For 20th Anniversary Of Sinister Slaughter Begins Next Week

Chicago’s legendary Murder Metal trio MACABRE will embark on a mini-tour next week in gala of the twentieth anniversary of their seminal Sinister Slaughter album.

MACABRE blends elements of true crime, math rock, nursery rhymes, punk, thrash, folk melodies, death metal, jazz fusion, black metal and more into an energetic, catchy and unmistakable amalgam and signature genre, “Murder Metal.” Miraculously still comprised of the same decomposing torsos which founded the band in 1985 -- vocalist/guitarist Corporate Death, drummer Dennis The Menace and bassist/vocalist Nefarious -- the infamous MACABREhenchmen will stalk, slash and stampede their way through Kentucky, Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio with four brutalizing performances celebrating the passing of two decades since their maniacal Sinister Slaughter LP was released via Nuclear Blast in April of 1993.

Every MACABRE fan in the region should forge a path to one of these special shows, as the band will exhume hymns they’ve not delivered on-stage in an extremely long time. While the band is likely to pull some surprises and switch things up, the set list for these shows is rumored to include “Killing Spree,” “Howard Unrah (What Have You Done Now?!),” “Mr. Albert Fish (Were Children Your Favorite Dish),” “Montreal Massacre,” “The Ted Bundy Song,” “What’s That Smell?,” “Apartment 213,” “Dr. Holmes (He Stripped Their Bones),” “Konerak” and more, along with the Sinister Slaughter classics “Zodiac,” “Nightstalker” and “Vampire Of Düsseldorf.” MACABRE will bringing some new and classic merchandise on the road with them including Black Knight shirts, trucker caps, classic Albert Fish shirts, Established 1985 shirts, McMassacre shirts, girls slasher logo tank tops and shirts, Grim Scary Tales picture LP’s, patches, stickers and much more.

MACABRE To Self-Release Picture Disc LP; North American Tour Approaches

Murder Metal mongers MACABRE are preparing to self-release a 12" picture disc LP version of their recent full-length, Grim Scary Tales, via their own Decomposed Records. This gory platter of splatter bears the bold, Scott Jackson-crafted front cover art to the album on the A-side, and a portrait of the infamous MACABRE trio, armed for battle, as always, on the B-side. The release of the LP comes just in time for MACABRE's next leg of their multi-stage Grim Scary Tales Tour in support of the album, as they prepare to hit the road in two weeks, once again with Exhumed, Cephalic Carnage and Withered. The gore tour gets going on July 24th -- with MACABRE headlining the Central Illinois Metalfest, joined by Nachtmystium, Nunslaughter Embalmer and tons more -- the tour lineup them moving on to invade sectors of the Midwest and Western North America.

MACABRE Announce Summer North American Tour; European Tour Begins Shortly

Murder metallers MACABRE have announced a string of North American tour dates for this Summer, the latest in their ongoing Grim Scary tour supporting their latest blistering full-lengthGrim Scary Tales. Set to kick off in late July, MACABRE will hit the road for two weeks as direct support from gore metal outfit Exhumed, and also joined by Cephalic Carnage and Withered.

MACABRE will first hit the road for the previously-announced European leg of the tour in mid-April, with special guests Birdflesh, Rompeprop, and with nine select dates of the tour also including support from fellow Chicagoan Bruce Lamont.

As of now the general public can stop by their local disc monger and pick up Grim Scary Tales, the anticipated new full-length from Chicago's murder metallers MACABRE, as it is officially unleashed upon North Americans today! As always, the band released the album on their own Decomposed Records imprint, with distribution in North America on this release via Willowtip Records.

Keeping a band together for 25 years is a monumental thing for any group of musicians, but to keep a trio together without a lineup change in a quarter of a century as MACABRE have is nearly unheard of. Yet as time goes on, MACABRE remain in their initial lineup, as always consisting of Corporate Death (lead vocals, guitar), Dennis The Menace (drums) and Nefarious (bass, vocals).

To be released on the band's own Decomposed Records as always, Grim Scary Tales is directly licensed for North American release on February 8th via Willowtip Records, and in Europe January 31st on Hammerheart Records.
