NECROCURSE Releases Grip of the Dead Today

Grip of the Dead, the highly-anticipated debut album from Swedish morbid Death Metal rebels NECROCURSE is now available in North America via Pulverised Records. 

The album is currently streaming in full at the Pulverised Records Bandcamp Page, where digital downloads are also available for purchase. Grip of the Dead is available as a Digipak CD atpulverised.bigcartel.com. Vinyl treatment is coming soon courtesy of a joint collaboration between Blood Harvest Records and To The Death Records. The vinyl version will include re-recorded version of the track "Souls Of A Thousand Funerals," from the Shape of Death MCD, as an additional bonus track. 

With members from Nifelheim, Swordmaster, Runemagick and Sacramentum and set in a traditional ancient Heavy Metal spirit, Grip of the Dead is a convocation of ominous Deathchaos and Blackened Thrash destruction. Together with a slab of anthemic devil-horn theatrical antics, the end result is a perfect assimilation of the legitimate NECROCURSE sound-stamp! 

Grip of the Dead was recorded, mixed and mastered at Sonic Train Studios with the legendary King Diamond guitar maestro Andy La Rocque (King Diamond, Melechesh, Hammerfall, etc) and the stunningly nefarious artwork cover by David Herrerias (Antichrist), the Morbid Maniacs have returned and it is going to be unpleasant.

Swedish morbid Death Metal rebels NECROCURSE have named their debut upcoming full-length effort as "Grip Of The Dead".

"Grip Of The Dead" contains eleven tracks of uncompromising haunting Death Metal in true spirit of the ancient dark Heavy Metal attitude, and the vinyl version will include an additional bonus re-recorded track entitled "Souls Of A Thousand Funerals", previously from the "Shape of Death" MCD.

NECROCURSE: Swedish Death Metallers Join Pulverised Records

Rising from the filth-lands of Uddevalla and Ljungskile, Sweden, NECROCURSE was spawned in 2004 with a penchant for all things brutal and ugly. Featuring current and past members of Nifelheim, Necronaut, Runemagick, Deathwitch and Swordmaster (among others), the band is now ready to unleash their chaos upon an unsuspecting underground via Singapore's Pulverised Records in 2012.

Comments the band in a collective statement: "The time has come for the death metal rebels to rise from the grave, and forge a full album release of the Metal of Death! NECROCURSE are proud to announce the collaboration with Pulverised Records for the upcoming, as-yet-untitled album. The release will be recorded during the coming winter and include at least nine tracks of insane morbid death…"

Adds Pulverised Records label manager, Roy Yeo: "Having NECROCURSE on our roster was an easy choice as the musical style and direction of NECROCURSE fits perfectly with what Pulverised Records is all about: quality and authentic death metal.
