WISDOM sign record and booking deal! Album release in August!

NoiseArt Records and Rock The Nation booking announced the signing of Hungarian heavy metal band WISDOM. 

The band commented as follows: 

„Wisdom was formed in 2001 with no real plan or purpose. We threw together a few covers, and soon after our first songs were composed. As we made up our name and kept on writing songs, our goals were also becoming clear. We created Wiseman whose story continues on our every album, and may raise interesting thoughts in those examining it. We aspire to this especially. Nomen est omen, one could say. Now we are happy to announce the signing with NoiseArt and Rock The Nation; they promised worldwide fame, money and a lot of pretty girls; we were unable to withstand the temptation. Therefore you'll get a cool heavy/power album in August entitled Judas and powerful concerts all over the world. Wiseman is alive and stronger than ever!“ WISDOM

WISDOM info: 

After some promotional records, the Wisdom EP was released as the attachment of the most popular Hungarian metal magazine, Metal Hammer, in 2004, introducing them to the public at large. This was the first co-production in Hungary of this sort, and it resulted in Wisdom becoming known nation-wide. In 2006 their first full length studio album „Words of Wisdom“ was released. Much of its studio work was done in the Finnvox Studios, in Finland. Following this a great interest came from Asia, and after some negotiation they signed a contract with the Japanese Soundholic Records to license their album, and nowadays Spinning Records has signed the band for the Japanese territory. 

Wisdom has been lucky to open for a numerous big players in the metal scene, all of which are a role model to them. These bands include: Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Heaven and Hell, Europe, Helloween, Stratovarius, Saxon, Doro, U.D.O... 

On August 24 this year their album „Judas“ will be officially released via NoiseArt Records including an exclusive bonus track coming off their EP „At The Gates“. Furthermore, the band will hit the road on a seriously huge tour this Fall! Watch out for more news soon!

Dawn Of Disease enter the studio to record their second album “Crypts of the Unrotten”

The North German (Swedish-) Death Metal machine Dawn Of Disease is entering the studio at the beginning of 2012 to supply you with a new album.

The follower of “Legends Of Brutality” will again be recorded in Soundlodge Studio in Rhauderfehn together with Jörg Uken.

“We really invested a lot of energy and have been collecting new ideas during the last months. You better prepare for a huge portion of Death Metal! We are very much looking forward to the first recordings.”

TROLLFEST’s “Brumlebassen” First Studio Trailer Available!

Work was set to begin this month on the fifth full-length album from TROLLFEST, the band that has eschewed musical convention by combining local folk sounds from their native Norway with those from the Balkans, and mixing them together with occasional melodies that could originate anywhere from the Latino countries to the Middle East, and topping it all with head banging metal and a generous dose of humour, in order to form their own genre of “True Norwegian Balkan Metal”. The band entered the Strand Studios a while ago to spend three weeks in the company of engineer Marius Strand to record drums, bass, guitars and main vocals, and then move on to their own “Trollskogen Recording Facilities” to record the extra vocals, choirs, and instruments. Updates on the recording, including photos and video, will be available on the band’s blog.

The album will be called “Brumlebassen” and as with all TROLLFEST’s previous releases will tell a story involving Trolls and a certain amount of drinking. Without wanting to give too much away at this early stage a spokesperson for the band said that the storyline will revolve around a brewer called Brumlebassen who is charged with making the mead much beloved by the Trolls. Cover art for the album will once again be in the hands of Swedish artist and cartoonist Jonas Darnell and designer Terje "Andy Wartroll", both of whom have worked with the band for several years, and whose work on the band’s last album “En Kvest For Den Hellige Gral” has yet again proved to be a huge hit with the fans and an integral part of the overall TROLLFEST “experience”. 

“Brumlebassen” is set for release early next year on NoiseArt Records.

German Death Metal heavyweight DAWN OF DISEASE have inked a deal with Noise Art Records as well as a booking contract with Rock The Nation. Their blastbeat (Swedish) Death Metal debut album "Legends Of Brutality" was recorded in Soundlodge Studio (God Dethroned, Sinister, Dew-Scented) and will be released April 29.
