New York-based band Pirosaint has launched, via their website, to gather money to aid one of its members. The campaign, called "100 for a friend," will look to sell 100 copies of 'Infected Brutality,' material that was recently remastered and reissued for digipack format. The band has also created a donation page, where anyone can donate to help. All of the money raised by this campaign will go straight to Gonzalo Rodriguez to aid him and his family, who lost their home to a house fire.
’We feel powerless as a result of this tragedy. Even though he and his family are fine, they have lost everything due to a fire. Gonzalo is currently in Chile, far away from us, but we hope he knows that he has out support and that he will recover from this situation very soon.’
This is a small setback for the band, as they are currently recording the vocal tracks for the upcoming release. More information at its official website or its Official Facebook page.

'We are currently recording the vocal tracks for our upcoming album, it has been a long process for us since our singer is currently in Chile. People have asked us why we are doing this this way… and the answers is that… we couldn't find a singer with the character that we were looking for around the area that we all are living in, so we came back to our original singer. We hope that after the new album is finally released, we will be able to tour around and perform live for you all. Small biography of the band:
PIROSAINT band was formed in 1989, joining a small but powerful and enthusiastic local heavy metal scene. After releasing two demos in 1992 and 1994, the band issued an EP called New God in 1997.
To celebrate Pirosaint's first active decade, the group released a compilation called Ten Years From the Emptiness in the year 2000, re-issued in 2004.
In 2011, Pirosaint has relocated to NY, the band is the band is currently recording new material.
In 2013, Pirosaint have released "Infected Brutality" contains Pirosaint's original demos, "Atrocity Not Condign '92" and "Infected Dreams '94" recorded originally in Santiago, Chile by Jose Luis Corral at the Rec. Studios. The album also includes four previously unreleased live track. With this album the band celebrates the 20th anniversary of the second demo "Infected Dreams."

New York, NY based thrash metal band PIROSAINT have announced that it will be rejoined by its original singer Gonzalo Rodriguez to record the vocals for its full album 2013. Singer Gonzalo Rodriguez was the responsible for the vocals on the band's demos "Atrocity Not Condign" (1992) and "Infected Dreams" (1994) and the EP "New God" 1997. All recordings released by the band in cassette format only.

"We are happy to announce that we are working with our original singer. It has been a pretty tough decision for us to do this, since he will be working with us from Chile and we already know that the second part of this project it will be the hardest part, because of that fact, but right now… with two local failures in the count, we still haven't found any stable singer locally to be able to record or perform live with us and we need to put our new material out. We have been working on the new songs for some time now… so our EP project has become our debut album… yeah! 20 years after but what the hell we have at least two original members that were on those old recordings… so that's all, we just keep working hard at it… we love what we do..."
All the music of Pirosaint's debut album its been recorded at Oily Sound Studios in New Windsor, NY and the vocal tracks and mixing process will be done in Santiago, Chile, later this year, still there is no studio set up for it yet. The album it will contain 9 tracks and we will giving more updates as they become available.
Pirosaint have announced that their vocalist, Nick Scandiffio, left the band. Scandiffio joined the band in November 2012 to replace original frontman, Gonzalo Rodriguez.
Drummer Ignacio Orellana explains:
"Unfortunately he was offered a better option for its future (a work offer) so, he won't be available for the band's recording schedule. We are currently finishing the recordings of the instrument tracks for our new mini EP album and as a band, Pirosaint has always been about moving forward, no matter what obstacles present themselves and are eagerly beginning the search for a new vocalist immediately."

Half of this list have recorded an exclusive track for this compilation, and the other half licensed their already released material with the only propose of protesting and make awareness of their problem.

The band is currently working on the recordings of their new mini album that will be named "Pirosaint". This new EP will contain brand new material with a couple old ones that never were recorded before. The EP Pirosaint will follow the EP "New God" released in 1997.

"While we are searching for the right sound for the band, we've decided to put out this track because it has a lot of history with us. This track was written in 1997 by Alfredo Vicencio, Jose Jara and I, then in 2011 I did presented the track to the new members at that time (Ryan Cady, Ron Buckner) and now 2012, finally we have recorded the final version of it with Bill Smith on guitars and Nicolas Scandiffio on Vocals. We are happy with all the modifications we have done trough the years… This track will be included on the new mini album as a bonus track."

NY thrash metal band PIROSAINT have announced the addition of Nicolas Scandiffio (formerly INSIDE OUT N.Y.C.) as its new permanent singer.
The band have uploaded a brand new track called "I'd rather see them bleed" featuring its new line up. The track was recorded and mixed by Ignacio Orellana at Oily Sound Studios in New Windsor, NY and Mastered at SoundLab, NJ. You can download the track for free at its Soundcloud page.
Nicolas Scandiffio did commented: "I'm happy. I have finally found my match, Pirosaint is exactly what I have been searching for… my admiration for all genres of heavy metal music made me land on the ideal situation".
Drummer Ignacio Orellana also commented: "We had to move fast after the last bad experience with the singer, So, as soon as we knew that Nicolas was our guy, we decided to do a song and see what we could get from that mix and here it is!… It's "a new yesterday" for me personally, Pirosaint has released brand new material after 15 years of being asleep. So, now we are working on a mini album wich we have already recorded half way … we hope to have it finished by the end of these year, and release it on CD format via Digmetalworld Records, by March of the next year".

We decided move on, so we started with the auditions once again to find the right person to fill the spot. On the other hand, We also decided to work on this special project called "La Educacion, Nuestra Razon", where we had to go little be out of our music style to achieve the classic heavy metal sound, it was a challenge for us, we needed to deliver a song that could fit with the style of singing of Sr. Diaz (more melodic, operatic style), we were happy when he said to us, yep! i will do it. Also, we had the opportunity to work once again with Sebastian Osorio, we wanted him to bring his style of heavy metal during the solo part. We are happy with what have came out of all of us, We all think that does sound like an epic heavy metal anthem".

Thrash metal band PIROSAINT have announced the addition of Billy Cunningham (former NJ's WARHORSE) as their new vocalist. Currently the band is recording 5 tracks for the upcoming EP album that will be named simply "Pirosaint", the promo track will be release in a few weeks.
Drummer Ignacio Orellana has commented on the vocalist's addition:
"Now that we have found Billy C., everything is going to be easier, we already had some tracks ready to be worked on, we supposed to have guest musicians on those tracks but now is a whole new story. Billy C. has been great and he is a great fit for our music. The people will get to hear PIROSAINT's live shows, exactly the way that we do on the records."
PIROSAINT have been confirmed as a supporting act for STATIC X on Aug 19th @ The Chance Theater, this event marks the return of the band to the live shows.
PIROSAINT has announced that it will start the recordings of a brand new album in almost 15 years after has been in silence. The band originally was formed in Santiago, Chile in 1988 and now with new members, has started the recordings of an EP at Oily Sound Studios in New Windsor, NY. The new material will expected to be available by May/Jun of this year.
Many things have changed since Pirosaint disbanded in 1998 in Chile, but the spirit hasn't change nothing. Original drummer Ignacio Orellana has been working hard on putting back together his original band with help of his latest band mate Ron Buckner, since last May 2011, when they decided leave the Downfire, to re activate Pirosaint.
When Ignacio had the chance to replace Sacred Oath's drummer Kenny Evans for a few shows, because of his back problems, on the "Sacred Oath Tour" last Oct/Nov 2011, he asked guitarist Bill Smith to join Pirosaint as a side project, since then Bill has been working with Ron and Ignacio, putting the old material and new one together.
The band has no steady singer yet, and the vocal parts are going to be done by a friend of the band, the name of the vocalist will be revealed prior the release of the album.
