PRIMATE Confirms Live Rampage Shows Confirmed For This Weekend And Early February

Following their brutal East Coast stint supporting the mammoth High On Fire this Fall, the ruthless faction known as PRIMATE will tear through Georgia with several new shows. This weekend the band will bulldoze their own locale with a double-tap of shows confirmed in Atlanta on Friday and Savannah Saturday. Additionally, two other new hometown shows have been locked for February 1st with Capitalist Casualties, Dead In The Dirt and more, and on February 8th with Torche and Whores.

Somewhat of an underground supercollective of debauchery-prone scene vets comprised of Kevin Sharp, Dave Whitworth, Shayne Huff, Bill Kelliher and Mike Brennan, Relapse officially issued PRIMATE’s debut album Draw Back A Stump last year. The rabid release throws down with ten tracks of rampant punk/grind-fueled old-school hardcore in barely twenty minutes.

PRIMATE: Hear The Full Album

With PRIMATE's debut LP Draw Back A Stump approaching official worldwide release next week via Relapse, today the entire ten track audiobeast can be set loose through your computer speakers via BrooklynVegan.

Draw Back A Stump will be in North American stores next Tuesday, July 3rd. Preorders are available HERE.

PRIMATE's grind-infused hardcore punk ruckus brings the relentless spirit of the genre's pioneers like Poison Idea, Doom, Bad Brains, Napalm Death and Discharge into the modern age with super slick and thunderous production and a foundation-leveling sonic beating. Formed by vocalist Kevin Sharp, bassist/vocalist Dave Whitworth, drummer Shayne Huff and guitarists Bill Kelliher and Mike Brennan, the band disbursed a 1000-run CD pressing of Draw Back A Stump on their own last year. Shortly after, they joined forces with Relapse who are now preparing to officially release the remixed and remastered version of the album worldwide in all formats, featuring three tracks not on the original release.

PRIMATE: Two Tracks From Debut LP Uncaged

Two separate anthems from grindsmiths PRIMATE's debut LP Draw Back a Stump have been set loose on a public rampage this week. Yesterday fans can hear the raging track "Pride" via a Relapse lyric video below.

Recently, Metal Injection included the album's opening/title track "Draw Back a Stump" on an exclusive twenty-song Relapse podcast downloadable RIGHT HERE.

After an initial 1000-run CD pressing released by the band directly in 2011 was quickly devoured by an immediately ravenous fanbase, PRIMATE will re-unleash their debut album Draw Back A Stump via Relapse on July 3rd through CD, LP and deluxe digital download formats. The seven hymns from the initial version now include additional rhythm guitars and have been remixed and remastered, and are joined with three previously-unreleased bonus tracks for this edition. Pre-orders for the album are available HERE.

Atlanta's villainous PRIMATE is comprised of vocalist Kevin Sharp, bassist/vocalist Dave Whitworth, drummer Shayne Huff and guitarists Bill Kelliher and Mike Brennan, an all-star lineup hellbent on delivering Grade-A punk the likes of which has not been set loose on the ears of the world since the glory days hardcore. Following several destructive live appearances last year after the album was initially released, this new version will see PRIMATE taking to the streets once again, as live confrontations and more are being planned to take place over the coming months.

PRIMATE: Debut Album To See Official Release Via Relapse Records

Having signed with Relapse Records last year, Atlanta-based thundergrinders PRIMATE will formally unleash their debut LP via the label in the scorching Summer months ahead.

After seeing a limited release by the band directly via a 1000-run CD pressing in March of 2011, PRIMATE's crushing Draw Back A Stump will see an official worldwide Relapse release on July 3rd on CD, LP and deluxe digital download. The seven hymns from the initial version now include additional rhythm guitars and have been remixed and remastered, and are joined with three additional previously-unreleased bonus tracks on this edition.

Get down with a teaser for the release and more at the RELAPSE YOUTUBE SITE.

An all-star band comprised of extreme music scene vets hellbent on delivering Grade-A punk the likes of which has not been set loose on the ears of the world since the glory days hardcore, PRIMATE channel decades of international extreme music influences into a glorious record of hellish rage all their own. Upon its initial release Decibel Magazine praised Draw Back A Stump calling it "grind with elements of classic U.K. crust, Swedish D-beat and American hardcore, plus just enough experimentation to create the aural equivalent of a watch throwing springs and gears in every direction while keeping perfect time," with Metal-Army America adding "Draw Back A Stump has all the bells and whistles of old-school hardcore and the best of modern sludgey-grind" and Grind To Death boasted the record is "like no other grind I have heard...borrowing from the crisp clean metal stylings and structures merged with the rhythmical pogo stick bouncings of punk to make its own blend of music."

Stay tuned for more info on the release of Draw Back A Stump, PRIMATE live confrontations and more through the coming months. Preorders for the album are available now VIA RELAPSE.
