SUICIDAL TENDENCIES Forced To Postpone Remaining Tour Dates

In a collective statement from crossover kings SUICIDAL TENDENCIES: "Sunday Night ST played NYC to 2000 old and newschool Cycos! It's always great to hit the East Coast and catch up with a lot of our friends, bands and family. Unfortunately the NYC show will be the last show of this tour. Sadly, one of the band members had a parent pass away suddenly and needed to fly home to be with his family in this difficult time and handle all the funeral arrangements, etc. With heavy hearts, the band decided it would be best to postpone the remaining ST shows and make them up sometime next year. We appreciate your understanding, your thoughts and your prayers. Please give us a few days and we will try and let those who already have tickets how how to get refunds, etc. Again, we are so sorry to have to postpone these shows, but hope that everyone will be able to understand, and we'll do our best to make the dates up."

The postponed dates include:
11/17/2010 Metro – Chicago, IL
11/18/2010 Cabooze – Minneapolis, MN
11/20/2010 Summit – Denver, CO
11/21/2010 Sunshine Theatre – Albuquerque, NM

Their drive, their energy, their relentless positivity comes through in every single performance, every single song." Added Oregon Music News of their performance in Portland: "When the set ended there were blood, sweat and tears shed, and in some cases all three. And that’s a sign of an epic metal show."

Also included is a new version of the classic ST track, “Possessed To Skate.”

.........................................................................................

"Cyco Miko and crew are clearly hungry with the way they played on this record..." -- All Metal Resource

"If you aren’t a fan of this kind of music… you gotta either be stuck on stupid or a Lady Gaga fan. Now if you’ll all excuse me… my next bowl and dose of No Mercy Fool!/The Suicidal Family awaits me." -- The Metal Den

"[Dean] Pleasants is like a man possessed on 'Join The ST Army' and 'The Prisoner,' and his wah-wah licks burn like white hot coals on 'Born To Be Cyco.' 'Something Inside Me' almost sounds like a lost Ramones track, and 'No Mercy Fool!' and 'We're F'n Evil,' though pretty infantile lyrically, have a raging, punk edge that bring to mind the early speed metal scene." -- Sea Of Tranquility

"...Mike Muir can still sing. He doesn’t sound anything like the 1987 Cyco Miko but that can’t be expected. And the drumming provided by Steve Brunner for the ST songs and Eric Moore for the No Mercy tunes is better than ever and that adds a new dynamic to the tunes.... quite an entertaining record leading into what should be a brand new Suicidal Tendencies record coming out in the near future." -- Popdose

"There's really not too many bands currently playing this brand of crossover thrash, so it only makes sense that the ones doing it right are those around for crossover's heyday." -- Metal-Rules

INFECTIOUS GROOVES was formed soon after Robert Trujillo joined cross over thrash kings SUICIDAL TENDENCIES in 1989. Muir and Trujillo got together with some friends to write song that centered more around the bass, but with the intent of giving everyone else a whole lot of freedom. As a precursor to the performance, Suicidal Records released INFECTIOUS GROOVES/CYCO MIKO's Funk It Up & Punk It Up: Live In France ‘95. Recorded live in Lyon, France in 1995 by soundman Tom Abraham straight from the board with zero sound alterations, this never-before-released double live gem features original INFECTIOUS GROOVES members Mike Muir (Suicidal Tendencies), Robert Trujillo (now with Metallica), Dean Pleasants (Suicidal Tendencies), Brooks Wackerman (Bad Religion) and Dave Nassie (former No Use For A Name; current Bleeding Through). The tour wound its way through Europe, with all the members pulling double duty playing INFECTIOUS GROOVES and CYCO MIKO sets each night.

In related news, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, who recently announced their long-anticipated U.S. tour set to commence later this month, have added additional dates to the trek including a performance at New York City's Terminal 5 with Cro-Mags and Underdog. Check additional listings below:
