Vocalist Trevor Phipps elaborates on the video: "This video captures both the energy we put into every performance as well as imagery of the dark lyrical content of "Watch it Burn". We want to thank Scott Hansen and his crew for their hard work delivering such a sick video for our fans to see. Check it out!"

Unearth's next round of touring will be across Australia as a part of the Soundwave Festival. The tour kicks off February 25th in Brisbane and features Slipknot, System of a Down, A Day To Remember, Bush, Lamb of God, Machine Head and many more. Following their trip down under, Unearth will be re-conquering Europe starting March 20th in support of fellow metal heavyweights, Heaven Shall Burn. The band will make return trips to Europe through April, June, July and August for multiple festival appearances including: Groezrock, Hellfest, Graspop Metal Meeting, With Full Force, Wacken and Summer Breeze Open Air. "strong, dynamic songwriting…it highlights Unearth's strengths superbly." Decibel Magazine

"a whirling torrent of passion and aggression" 4/5, Terrorizer Magazine

"it's the band's reawakened urgency and positivity that makes this like discovering them for the first time again." Metal Hammer Magazine

"Darkness In The Light is a maelstrom of melodic riffs, screamy shouts and enough noodling to keep Guitar Hero nerds happy. But it’s not chasing maidens and slaying dragons; Unearth have enough of the ’90s straight-edge hardcore scene still left in their blood to give the lyrics an impassioned warrior cry against corrupt politics and wavering faith." 4/5, Alternative Press Magazine

"Tight riffing, varying from technical pedal-style patterns to twin-harmony Maiden/At The Gates worship, plus all the brutally chugging breakdowns, will surely serve to inspire many a karate kick in the pits come tour time. This is definitely music to move by... " -- Fangoria"..

.powerful, has the right amount of grab to it, and definitely has the spit-filled rage lyrically that this kind of music once possessed before being softened for the mall kids." -- Pitriff

"If any band today can write a fresh record in a genre over-saturated with hordes of manipulators. It'll be Massachusetts' metalcore leaders UNEARTH." -- Metality

UNEARTH: New Record In Stores Today!

Track-By-Track Breakdown Brought To You By Alternative Press; U.S. Tour To Commence This Evening

Darkness In The Light, the latest studio offering from Massachusetts metallers UNEARTH, hits North American record shelves TODAY! The explosive 11-track recording comes to you by way of Metal Blade Records. Recorded at Zing Studios in Westfield, Massachusetts with producer/Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz and mixed at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Trivium, et al), Darkness In The Light finds UNEARTH at their most volatile.

Check out a thorough, track-by-track breakdown of the record by vocalist Trevor Phipps, courtesy of Alternative Press, HERE.

“Eyes Of Black”
This one is currently my favorite track on the record. It has every element I love about metal: heaviness, speed, solos, angry vocal spit, a chorus you can scream along to and some Southern-rock-influenced metal riffs that add to the heaviness and grit of the song. The lyrics speak of becoming desensitized to tragedy and the harsh dealings life can provide, because of seeing and experiencing so much of it around you. As time goes on, I feel it is something more and more of us can relate to.  More here.

Coinciding with the release of the record, UNEARTH will do a special in-store autograph signing TODAY at Hastings Books Music & Videos. The band will kick off a summer's worth of tour dates that include a slot on this year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival later this evening at Jake’s (a headlining show).
