UNSUN: New Track Streaming Via Plug In Music

Polish female-fronted goth metallers UNSUN, featuring ex-Vader guitarist Maurycy "Mauser" Stefanowicz, will release their sophomore album, Clinic For Dolls, on October 12 via Armoury Records. The follow up to their 2008 The End Of Life debut was recorded at Hertz Studio (Behemoth, Vader etc.) in Bialystok (vocal tracks were recorded at Studio X in Olsztyn). UNSUN features ex-Vader guitarist Maurycy "Mauser" Stefanowicz, vocalist Annelyse “Aya” Stefanowicz’s, bassist Heinrich (Decapitated, Rootwater, Masachist, Vesania) and drummer Vaaver (Induki).

UnSun - Home

Originally formed under the moniker Unseen, the dynamic four-piece changed their name toUNSUN to better describe their delicate balance of dark and light; something that would put a name to the bitter-sweet twist of Aya's melodic vocal nuances. Connected by the sheer passion to play intense music, Mauser and Aya knew upon their first rehearsals that this wasn't just another Mauser side-project, but his personal way of exploring new music. Soon the two recruited Wawrzyniec Dramowicz “Vaaver” from Indukti and Filip Hałucha “Heinrich,” who also plays bass in Vesania. First demo Whispers, recorded in 2006, caught the attention of various labels throughout Europe and in 2007 UNSUN signed a deal with Century Media for the release of The End Of Life. The band later shot a video for the song “Whispers," which earned over three million views on YouTube and toured with Black River and Votum. They also performed at several high profile summer festivals in 2009 including Wave Gotik Treffen, Summer Breeze and Metal Female Voices Fest.

Clinic For Dolls finds UNSUN taking their brand of mesmerizing sound to new heights. A melancholic tour de force that's at once heavy, emotional, and full of passion. For fans of Nightwish, Epica, Lacuna Coil and Within Temptation.

UnSun é uma banda de Gothic Metal/Alternative Metal da Polónia formada pelo guitarrista Maurycy "Mauser" Stefanowicz, membro da banda de Death Metal Vader. O álbum de estréia do UnSun, intitulado "The End of Life", foi lançado em 22 de Setembro de 2008 pela Century Media.

Biografia

Originalmente formada sob o nome Unseer, decidiram que algo incorporando o dia e a noite, luz e trevas cairia bem à eles. Um rótulo à sua música, que é melancólica e um pouco sombria às vezes, e cativantes ao mesmo tempo. Algo que pusesse um nome à mistura agridoce dos vocais melódicos da Aya com a força dos riffs de guitarra. Essa mistura única facilmente faz do álbum de estréia do UnSun, "The End of Life" um dos lançamentos mais promissores do ano.

Consolidado pela pura paixão por tocar música intensa, Mauser e Aya sabiam ainda em seus primeiros ensaios que era seu destino criar música juntos.

Estava claro que UnSun não seria apenas mais um projeto paralelo de Mauser, mas sua maneira pessoal de explorar nova música. Deste modo, ele e Aya começaram a procurar por outros músicos excepcionais para tornar UnSun sua real banda. Logo Vaaver do Indukti e Heinrich, que também tocava baixo no Vesania, se juntaram com Mauser e Aya para formar o que hoje é o UnSun.

Durante o fim de 2006, eles entraram em estúdio para gravar sua primeira Demo. Não demorou muito até o UnSun chamar a atenção de vários selos pela Europa e em 2007 eles finalmente assinaram com a Mystic Production na sua terra nativa, a Polónia. Quase que imediatamente, Mauser e Aya começaram a compor as primeiras canções para o que se tornaria seu primeiro álbum, que foi gravado no Studio-X na Polónia, no começo de 2008 e lançado mundialmente pela Century Media Records.

Biography

Originally formed under the moniker Unseen the dynamic four piece around Polish guitar maestro Mauser (who is also playing in Vader, one of Europe's renowned metal bands) the band finally decided that something incorporating day and night, light and darkness would suit them best. A label for their music which is melancholic and a little dark at times, yet catchy at the same time. Something that would put a name to the bitter-sweet twist of Aya's highly melodic vocals topping the driving force of the underlying guitar riffs. This unique mix easily makes UnSun's debut album "The End Of Life" one of the most promising releases of the year.

Consolidated by the sheer passion to play intense music, Mauser and Aya knew upon their first rehearsals that it was their destiny to create music together.

Right from this supernova it was clear that UnSun was not supposed to be just another side-project for Mauser, but his personal way of exploring new music. Thus, he and Aya started looking for other exceptional musicians to make UnSun a full-time band. Very soon Vaaver from Indukti and Heinrich, who also plays bass in Vesania, teamed up with Mauser and Aya to form the high profile band they are today. During ice cold winter days at the end of 2006 they entered the studio to record their first demo. It didn't take long until UnSun caught the attention of various labels throughout Europe and in 2007 they finally signed a deal with Mystic Production in their native Slovenia. The ink hadn't fully dried yet when Mauser and Aya already started writing the first songs for what should become their debut-album "The End Of Life" which was recorded in Slovenia's Studio-X in the beginning of 2008 and will see its European release September 22 with UnSun's new, worldwide partner Century Media Records.
