WHITEHORSE: Month-Long U.S. Tour Underway This Week

Australian noise-sludge pioneers WHITEHORSE begin their massive month-long American tour with New York's Batillus this week.

The pummeling cross-country festivities kicked off in Austin last night at this year's Chaos In Tejas where WHITEHORSE tore down Red 7 alongside Nasum, Phobia, Mass Grave and others, with a second CIT show scheduled for this Sunday with Dragged Into Sunlight, Cough, Cross, Theories and Batillus. From there WHITEHORSE and Batillus branch off together for another full month of devastating shows together, also joining a plethora of other incredible acts along the way including Northless, Unearthly Trance, Landmine Marathon, Brainoil, Vastum, Theories, their brothers/labelmates The Body and more.

WHITEHORSE: Limited Vinyl Edition Of New Album To See Release In November

At A Loss Recordings have confirmed the release date for the limited LP edition of WHITEHORSE's latest mammoth full-length, Progression. Following an initial CD release via Sweat Lung early last year as the band stormed the U.S. alongside The Body, At A Loss officially released the album via digital download in July, harvesting drop-jawed reactions from extreme doom/sludge fans and critics.

Now At A Loss will issue Progression on wax this November 8th, this time unleashing the record's massive tones in analog format for the diehards and collectors. Once again licensed from Sweat Lung, this pressing will be limited to 500 copies on black or black & blue swirled vinyl, and will include a digital download coupon to access high-quality MP3s as well. Preorders for the platter are being taken here.

Following their crushing U.S. tour last year, WHITEHORSE will return next Summer on a full tour of the country. More info will be announced as the time draws near. In the meantime, the band continue to book shows throughout Australia.

WHITEHORSE: Progression Out Now; Full Album Stream Hosted By Brooklyn Vegan

The digital North American release of Progression¸ the newest full-length from oppressive Aussie noise/sludge metal outfit,WHITEHORSE, is now available.

Originally released on CD earlier this year via Sweat Lung Records to coincide with WHITEHORSE's 2011 American tour, the digital version of the album is now available via all major digital stores. The deluxe LP format is in the manufacturing stages now and will be released in the coming weeks. WHITEHORSE Confirm Vinyl & Digital Release For North America

Oppressive Australian sludge/metal unit WHITEHORSE have confirmed that they will release their latest album, Progression, on both 12" LP and digital download formats to North America via At A Loss Recordings this Summer.

Progression was initially released early this year on CD by Sweat Lung Records, to coincide withWHITEHORSE's 2011 American tour. The brutal venture took the band through a massive amount of the country, including several performances at this year's SXSW as well as a full Southeast/East Coast tour alongside The Body, who they not only co-released a split 7" with but who are also now labelmates with via At A Loss Recordings. At A Loss will release Progressiondigitally on July 5, 2011, and the deluxe LP vinyl format will be released later in the Summer; the lacquers are currently being cut at Chicago Mastering Service by Jason Ward, and a final release date will be announced shortly.

For the past seven plus years WHITEHORSE has united members of Melbourne's underground music community, enlisting members from the punk, grindcore, experimental, and noise scenes,  to create crushingly heavy sludge-metal layered with electronics.

Having toured Japan, the United States and Australia, plus having released eight audio documents on a multitude of internationally-based labels including Sweat Lung, Sabbatical, Conspiracy, Blind Date, 20 Buck Spin and more, WHITEHORSE hit their most productive point in 2010, performing in support of several international visitors to Australia including Birushanah, Zeni Geva, Om, Lichens, Wolves In The Throne Room, Monarch, Nadja and Coffins.
