THORA

THORA has been called the Gothic Metal discovery of the year by the press for several times. Indeed, magazines like Orkus, Zillo and Sonic Seducer are full of praise and feature extremely positive reviews about this Aachen-based band which was already formed in 1999.

Thus, it wasn't too great a surprise that the band managed to win both the well-renowned Jägermeister Band Competition, awarding them the opportunity to play as support band for HIM, but also to rank first in the Metal Hammer Battle, granting them a successful appearance at the Wacken Open Air 2004. In 2006, Thora beside Leaves Eyes and Maroon was of the top acts at WGSOAF-Festivals and there had a stunning performance.

On their present third album "Baby No. 666" (following albums like "Cross Nailed" and "Total World Paranoia") they convince again with strong melodies, eclectic song structures, fat riffs and intoxicating vibes.

THORA combine catchy melancholic melodies of bands like Dreadful Shadows or HIM with the metal impact of Paradise Lost at their heydays … while featuring their own original style which will not only take the Gothic and Metal discos by storm, but also conquer the concert halls and festival stages.

The new album is presented on THORA's homepage as a free download as a very special offer to all our friends.
