Somewhere in September 2009 the entity Somber took over the mind of a nobody painter in Belgium and a first song was born called 'Somber's Out'.
By the end of 2009 Daniel Vrangsinn's organisation Misantrof ANTIRecords took notice of the art this sarcastic entity was producing and took it under it's wings which led to the first 'official' Plaag release being the happy tune 'Christmas Time (The birth of a retarded child)' which was released on the free download album 'Holy Fucking Anti christmas vol.2' on the Misantrof website. The cover artwork image was also made by Somber.*
Somber in the meantime kept on terrorizing his human host writing and recording such lovely sing alongs as 'My Satan', 'All That You See' and 'Steelteethed' amongst many others. All of them raunchy blackened rock 'n roll songs douced in sarcasm.
Around the same time the demands to bring Plaag alive on stage were increasing to a level that Somber couldn't resist anymore and he finally concurred. A live Plaag was born.
In December 2010 'The Genius Of christmas' - the follow up of 'Christmas Time (The birth of a retarded child)' - was officialy released on 'Holy Fucking Anti christmas vol.3', again as a free download album on the Misantrof ANTIRecords website for which Somber provided the cover art too.*
Currently Plaag is creating new stuff to be thrown upon the feeble minds of the sheep and the live crew is working hard to be fully prepared to attack a stage very soon.
PLAAG is a one-man project from Flanders, Belgium, consisting of one member: Somber.
With love for the underground scene, a fascination with horror and a sarcastic evil view on life it was evident that this project was started under the term HELLROCK 'N ROLL... nasty, mean rock 'n roll with a Black Metal dressing on top.
However(!) don't take this shit too seriously. Some songs are meant to provoke, others just for the love of blackhearted rock n' roll and some just to vent hatred towards ignorance, numbness and plain human stupidity.
