From Santo Tirso (Portugal), the band Humanart started in September 1998, formed by five initial members – with an average age of 17. They all had in mind to develop a style which reflected their different metal preferences. Although today this is still their goal, the presence of Black and Death Metal is the most noted.
One year later (23rd and 24th October 1999), they go to Rec N´Roll studio to record "Fossil", their first demo. Produced by Luís Barros, "Fossil" was edited in 18th February 2000, and includes four tracks: "Afraid Of Your Own Shadow", "Mutation", "Immortal Dream", and "The Truth".
Through out this years, the band has suffered a lot of line up changes, and has been acting live and working on new material, as well as reviewing the old songs.
Besides the old Demo, you can check out the band in several Metal compilations and publicatios, and since September, the new release, the 2004Mcd “Hymn Obscura”. It was recorded and mixed at GraveStudio in Braga, by Pedro Alves and Humanart, and in it you can find this five tracks: 1 - Intro(Inner Paths Of Will); 2 – The Great Journey; 3 – Loss…; 4 – Inhumanart; 5 – Years Of Revelations With Sorrow Voices.
Lately besides their usual rehearsals, they are working on several projects in order to promote the band, such as t-shirts, flyers, web page, etc, while looking for distribution for “Hymn Obscura” and looking for an editor, as well as giving more live shows.
