Crappy lo-fi production, raw guitars, layers of synth, samples and some vocals added to the mélange is what defines the sound of BURN the Water. And the reason that the music is labeled as Crap Metal is that it was hard to find a suitable genre for it. Though Experimental Metal infused with the sound of industry, a dash of doom/goth trickled with some black/death along with some nu/alt.metal, hardcore/screamo mentality and some Crap can be found in the BTW music. Presently, it is a studio project but if time and fate allows, and some like-minded musicians are available, the inception of a full-fledged band can be expected.
Influences are varied and range from a horde of black/death/goth metal bands like Behemoth, Lacuna Coil, Dimmu Borgir, Demonic Resurrection, Type o negative, etc. to Nu/alt metal bands like Slipknot, POD, Linkin Park, Deftones, etc. and hardcore/experimental/industrial/modern metal and metalcore bands like Scribe, IAFWAY, The Kovenant, Purple In green, Textures, Bhayanak Maut, etc.
