Largely forsaking the ambient side that made up a good part of the outfit's previous offerings in favour of more guitar-driven songs, the opus nonetheless offers the same eerie vibe fans of the band have come to expect over the years. Neige et Noirceur is a solo project founded in 2002 by Spiritus. Neige et Noirceur is strongly inspired by Québec's vast nordic landscapes, occult and religious principles, wars and folklore, and its music ummons images of these long and dark wintery Québec nights. The gloomy, minimalstic and distressing moods clash with the cold and stormy Black Metal to give the listener an intensely hypnotic experience.
