Extreme Metallers Sangre posted a song online from his 2005 release "Evolution Is Necessary". The song is titled "Thinning The Herd" and has been in high demand for them to re-record with the current & permanent line up. Sangre or “Blood” in Spanish has made their mark and a name for themselves in the Southern California Metal Scene for nearly 10 years by their unmatched work ethic and longevity in an ever-changing revolving door of bands and trends. The band has self-released 2 EPs and 2 albums which in 2007 caught the attention of Hollywood based Beta Records. The upstart label had great ideas and offered Sangre a 4 song digital distribution deal. The deal was signed and embraced with achievement and hopes of taking their band to the next level. Things were on a roll with the pairing until the unexpected and tragic passing of their A & R rep. This proved to be the beginning of the end for the band’s relationship with the label. However, Sangre maintained and moved forward by continuing to progress their sound and live performances. Overall, this status gained the respect of their peers and others in/out of the music industry. Hard work lead to huge opportunities and endorsements such as a Jagermeister sponsorship. Within a year of beginning an apprentice sponsorship Sangre rapidly moved up to a full level sponsorship and earned a slot on the “2010 Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival” in Southern California. The festival was shared with other top acts such as Korn, Rob Zombie, Lamb of God, Chimaira and Hatebreed. Mayhem Fest has been the most exhilarating performance in the bands career thus far. Sangre commanded the crowd of over 5,000 eager metal fans, inciting circle pits & crowd surfing. Fans flocked to their merchandise booth after the performance for a meet and greet, poster signings, photos with the band and to purchase Sangre shirts, cd’s, pins, key chains, bottle openers, etc… Their performance also caught the attention of local media which wrote about the band in several articles online & in print. Many blogs, interviews and reviews followed about the Festival & Sangre’s blistering set. This past year they also performed alongside: Fear Factory, Whitechapel and more @ “California Metalfest IV” which took place at The Fox Theater in Pomona, CA. Sangre has also performed at some of Southern California’s most notable venues such as The Hollywood Palladium opening for Suicidal Tendencies & Biohazard, The Key Club, Roxy Theater, Whisky A Go Go, The Viper Room, House Of Blues (OC & Hollywood), The Grove, and Galaxy Theater just to name a few. They’ve had the privilege of opening for National & International acts such as Sepultura, Soilwork, Soulfly, Suffocation, Gojira, Brujeria, God Forbid, Prong, Kittie, Job For A Cowboy, and many more! Sangre has taken their music on the road touring 12 states and Mexico playing countless venues, clubs, bars, and festivals to thousands of fans. Their music can be heard worldwide on multiple online metal stations, underground & college radio, podcasts and even airplay on local rock stations. Sangre continues to lure more and more fans in with their high energy, mosh-invoking and explosive live performances. With killer tunes and professional attitudes Sangre has the drive & hunger to take their music to the masses and band to the top.
