CHEMICALS OF DEMOCRACY ‘THE AMERICAN SCREAM’

Hot off their UK debut and electrifying performance at Hammerfest IV, Phoenix, Arizona natives "Chemicals Of Democracy" have released their inaugural Dark Lord Records album 'The American Scream' in April 2012. Produced by the band and the Grammy-nominated Chris Tsangarides (Judas Priest, Anvil, Depeche Mode), the record and their live show has already garnered a huge response from the media including Classic Rock Magazine, KNAC, Hard Rock Radio, Planet Mosh, Phoenix Radio. Their triple axe onslaught fuses the pummelling riffage of thrash mavericks Metallica and the juicy melodic leads trademarked by Iron Maiden into the modern approach of bands like Bullet For My Valentine. Catchy choruses, mega hooks and vocals you can't forget make 'The American Scream' an effort bound to turn heads across the metal spectrum.

Since the band's inception in 2007, COD's progress has been rapid, to say the least. It must have been rock and roll destiny, as founding members vocalist and guitarist Darrin Richards and drummer Greg Paradis met guitarist Kevin Baxter on Craigslist, only to find out he was moving from Chicago to within a mile of Richards. Starting their career as a three piece, classically trained guitarist Harrison Walter was added to the fold in 2010, while bassist J.Q. was playing his first gig with the band only five days after auditioning. Having already shared the stage with the likes of genre stalwarts Diamond Head, Saxon, Loudness and Y&T, COD are keen to harness the momentum built with 'The American Scream'; in fact, the band has already begun work on material for their next record. Keep your eyes and ears peeled as there are big things in store for COD and it doesn't look like their relentless drive to rock is about to abate any time soon.
