GLOMB's debut EP titled 11/3 can best be described as "True Vacuum Post Black Punk Metal" or even "Staubsauger Blues" referring to the all-too-well-known housekeeping device they use in some songs as a kind of noise maker. The music is like a soundtrack for the never-ending hopeless human process of cleaning and polluting, living and dying, cleaning and polluting, hating and loving, cleaning and polluting the world, and so on.
According to the notorious duo NERV and HAEN the songs are about life, death, hate, love, joy and suffering. Cleaning for death, cleaning for life, cleaning yourself to death, cleaning yourself to life, cleaning others to death, cleaning others to life, being cleaned to death during childhood, cleaning for a living, being cleaned to be able to survive, having to clean to survive this nonsense called existence. Experiencing that life is all about nonsense, and how to learn how to get used to this nonsense, how to even love and appreciate this nonsense, and how to use this nonsense for yourself, in whatever way. To sum it up, They sing about cleaning vaccuum cleaners with vaccuum cleaners while digesting bananas. GLOMB is about masturbation, activating and availing themselves of the most important and most filthy primal human energy source there is.
GLOMB's vocalist Nerv have this to say about why they are releasing their music on MISANTROF: "If there is a shrink in MISANTROF, it has to be its president – DANIEL VRANGSINN. He is probably the one who is most consciously aware of what is fucking wrong with this world. Not sure if he has a remedy, though. Anyway, our relationship to him mainly came into existence via the submission to Misantrof's HOLY FUCKING ANTICHRISTMAS COMPILATION III as pointed out above. And of course because of our fanboyism when it comes to his solo project(s) and CARPATHIAN FOREST"
GLOMB is about masturbation, activating and availing ourselves of the most important and most filthy primal human energy source there is. As every release by Misantrof ANTIRecords, GLOMB can be downloaded for free from the band's Misantrof page legally. The release can be freely copied and shared by the general public for non commercial purposes and is protected by The Creative Commons - Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported license.
