Norwegian black metal band Ragnarok have worked hard on the next 7th album of originals, the band is in the process of finalizing including cover art.
The band commented:
"Listening to the final master of the new album!!! You will be blown away!!! Hell yeah!!"
General manager of the band adds:
"... And we'll also have some news for you soon so keep an eye out for that in the not too distant future".
Recently Ragnarok released the first official video for the title track from their last album “Collectors of the King”. The video is produced by William Brovold, directed by Stefan E Pedersen and the cinematography is by Lasse Roed.
Drummer and RAGNAROK founder Jontho had this to say about the video:
“It’s the first official video we’ve done for the band, and for a band that’s been around as long as we have, you could say it’s been a long time in coming. It’s a very dark piece in every sense of the word and perfectly conveys the atmosphere and subject matter of the track itself. We’re very pleased with the result, and now we’ve got a taste for it, it certainly won’t be the last video we make and you can rest assured that the new album will provide plenty of material for the next one". Check out the video “Collectors of the King” below.
The band was formed in Norway in 1994 by Jerv and Jontho, after they left Thoth, their previous band. Lyrical themes include Norse Mythology, Vikings, War, and Apocalypse. The band's name comes from the Old Norse word Ragnarök, the prophesied last battle between the Norse gods and the giants. They are "one of the most extreme black metal bands in Norway".
RAGNAROK`s next live appearance will be on the Main Stage at PartySan OpenAir in Germany on Saturday.
